I used the symbol since it's kid related, but I'm not a mom so I'm posting here. @shoegal, here's a gift for all the child birthdays in your life! I'm so in love with the first one.
The church where I work has different milestones as kids grow (bibles at k, 3rd and 5th grades, prayer pillow, etc). In 2nd grade they participate in the money milestone and each of the second graders is given the top piggy bank at a special ceremony, along with $10 from the pastor. It is a really great moment and turns into a yearlong focus on how to be responsible with money.

I love this! I do not have kids but when I was a kid, my parents had me split up my allowance 50% to spend, 25% to save for a bigger item, 25% to save- I only got $6 a week, but I allocated it. All checks got put into my savings account until I was about 14, at which point we invested some with my "input"'- my dad taught me a lot about the market, which I think has contibuted to my enjoyment in getting into the financial industry. I think that teaching kids about splitting up money and allocating is so valuable.

I have not seen one with an invest category. Very interesting. I have been debating getting one for DD. She has piggy banks, but they are just regular, simple banks.
