Hoping you can give me some help- we moved my 2 year old to her toddler bed a couple nights ago. She won't stay in it and has a fit any time I leave her in her room. She was never like this with her crib. She wants me to lay with her until she falls asleep. And she gets so hysterical so fast that I don't have time to try to talk to her about it. Any advice, tips, etc?
This is the third night and the past two I've laid with her until she falls asleep. I don't want her too used to it and I have so much to do tonight I can't be in there for 2 hours again. She's a super light sleeper.
We had to switch C a month or so before she was 2 because she kept climbing out of her crib. It's been hell, not going to lie. That being said what worked for her for a bit (she is a terrible sleeper and bedtime is the most terrible time of the day) was going in and rocking her for a set interval (she had a noise machine with lights and we would rock until the light thing went around 5 times) and then she would get in her bed and I set the timer on her noise machine for 15 minutes and would sit in the rocking chair and when the lights and music went off I left the room. It took a solid week of walking her back to her room 46513516546 times a night before she finally got it and started staying in bed. Good luck.
