We had a hectic but fun Christmas. My favorite part was Christmas morning at home with just T and H. I'm really looking forward to relaxing with them this weekend.
Ours was pretty good except that DS decided not to nap at naptime, which was immediately before my family party. We went the party and he did ok until towards the end of presents. He napped on the way home (about 40 minutes) and was fine for the rest of the day. Now we just need to find space for all his new toys. May be time to donate old ones.

Happy Anniversary! Our Christmas was great. Every gift of DS1's was met with "it's JUST what I've ALWAYS wanted!" and DS2 would say "wooowwww" every time he opened one. DS3 got only a few small things, one of which is a hammer that makes noise when you bonk it. Omg he loves it and is adorable with it, lol. H and I did a good job on gifts for each other. I surprised my dad and sisters with their gifts. Good surprises, lol. Christmas Eve and Christmas were both so relaxing. It strengthened our resolve to stay at home for the holidays. We've been seeing pictures of BIL and his family over in Hawaii at MIL and sFIL's vacation home and we still say "eh, that's not how we want to spend Christmas!" No snow here but oh well. Life is good in the lurking household

We had a fabulous Christmas just us two! We slept in, leisurely opened gifts (and H got me the ring I really wanted!), took Rox for a long walk, then went hiking. It was sunny and 50 here, which is almost unheard of for Christmas in IL. Our hike was very peaceful and invigorating.
We didn't want to cook, so we ate at a delicious buffet at the casino and gambled a bit. Then came home and drank wine and watched House of Cards.
Family visits are this week and will, no doubt, involve some IL drama, but yesterday was blissfully stress-free. I wish every Christmas was that way.
Yes it was fantastic. Just us and my parents. Everyone was happy and relaxed.
Now the boys are at my parents house and I am enjoying a quiet house. H and I were going to start on the backspalsh today but decided to just relax. We just got back from a run. We probably will shower and have the sex in a bit. Then I am taking a looooong nap.
It was a nice quiet Christmas. Christmas Eve all three of my boys came over and we watched GD open her gifts. DS1 "gave" me an online gift card for Etsy. I gave the boys cash in a little gift bag.
Christmas Day was spent mostly listen to DS extoll GD to get dressed, brush her hair and clean up all her gifts. It took four hours before they finally left for the other grandmother's house. lol
All five of us had Christmas dinner last night at one of the nicer restaurants in town.

Yes. Things are so good here, it's mKing me worried something will go wrong. H is home, has a week of vacation, we are getting along really well. The kids have taken turns being sick but it's just the flu and DD is down to 100 today. The worst thing that has happened to us is DS knocked over his new ink for his quill.

Yes, we really did.
It was just the 4 of us, and we hung out all day just playing with the kids and their new toys. I worked on some new material for my classes, and H went for a run in the afternoon.
after the kids went to bed, we streamed The Interview, and laughed our asses off, and not just at the jokes.
We had a lovely Christmas. I know it made my parents super happy to have both their daughters (and our husbands) over for the holiday. It was pretty low key but good.
Ours was pretty amazing. K is really starting to get Santa and we just had a lazy but fun day opening gifts and playing together.
I think we played with every single thing she got yesterday. We just lazed around, and she actually fell asleep while watching the grinch, and I don't think she's ever fallen asleep in front of the TV before in her life.
I had a really nice Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve with Thor's family. The kids really liked the gifts I picked out, and it was just generally a great time. His mom told me she loved me for the first time, and that was really sweet.
Christmas Day was with my family, and it was great. We all laughed a lot; my folks and Thor have really warmed to one another. My aunts and uncles were far more normal and laid back than usual. It was all really nice.
It's so nice to hear everyone had a great holiday! We have had a great time, with very little stress considering the travel and juggling between families. A nice way to enjoy the seain (aside from our 5 month old puppy having major tummy troubles.... Yuck!)
Same - this has been the most relaxed I've felt since before I had kids. I'm not sure why but uve been able to truly park all work brain and be 100% present for my kids and H. Like, best week ever, not just Christmas. And H made a kick ass roast for dinner last night and now I'm about to walk into the mall to meet my sister for lunch and a day of shopping.
Yes! I hosted Christmas Eve and Christmas morning brunch but streamlined and prepared things ahead of time. Everything was very low key and drama free.
My girls are still believers and Christmas was very magical for them. We avoided a huge dump of gifts from the grandparents and aunts and uncles but all the gifts received were beautiful and well thought out. My girls were appreciative and just really sweet.
My husband was able to take time off and we really enjoyed our time together and with the girls. It was one of our best holidays ever.
