I'm going to jump in early this time since I got lost in the previous threads. I'm looking for a good eye cream to help with under eye puffiness and the fine lines I'm getting around my eyes (I'm 32). Day, night, or both. Any suggestions?
Day to day I tend to stick with neutral colors. I'd like challenges to get me out of my comfort zone!
These are my daily favorites: Foundation/Powder: BareMinerals Powder Foundation, Original Primer: ELF Primer Blush: Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface Eyes: UD primer (Original), Too Faced Neutral Eye Shadow Collection, Hourglass Mascara Lips: Usually just Chap Stick topped with Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. I need to branch out more in this area. I feel like a clown with lots of color on my lips.
Also, anyone want to recommend their train case for make up storage? Right now all my stuff is in a bathroom drawer and completely unorganized. My regular stuff is on top and I tend to forget about things I don't use frequently. I want to get organized so I can see what I have.
Yes to Blueberries eye firming cream or Lush's enchanted eye cream. I switch between the two every fee days. I only use at night usually but you ca use day and night. I recently read somewhere that too much moisturizer makes make up run so I stopped doing it in the morning mostly.

In my excitement to make my first post and review some of my favorite products, I forgot to mention the new Sigma eye brushes I got for Christmas that I am really loving.
I've been using some Sonia Kashuk brushes from Target (a mix of black-handled and white-handled ones) that were okay, but I never had much to compare them to. After reading this Brightest Bulb in the Box post, I kept wanting to get some "good" brushes.
I got this Sigma Basics Eyes Kit (E05, E30, E40, E55, E60, E65, & E70) and the Sigma E25 Blending brush for Christmas. I love them! In just a week, they've made such a difference in my eye shadow application.
I've found that I'm using 4 of the brushes for pretty much every eye shadow look I do now:
E70 Medium Angled Shading - I use this to brush a highlight shade in the inner corner of my eyes and under my browbone
E55 Eye Shading - I use this to put shadow of my entire lid
E30 Pencil - I use this for my crease
E40 Tapered blending - This is magical for blending! What I thought was my own challenge with blending turned out to be a problem of using the wrong brush.
While I may not use the other brushes daily, I am still very happy with these three:
E25 Blending (the only one not from the set) - I like to use this to do more exact blending in smaller areas. I originally asked for this one because I was worried that the blending brush that came with the set would be too large (my eyes are rather small).
E65 Small Angle - This seems like it is great to use eye shadow as a liner or to add a pop of color in the outer corner of my eyes, although I've only tried it once so far.
E05 Eyeliner - This seems like it will be great to use eye shadow as a liner (especially the bottom lid), although like the E65, I've only tried it once so far.
That leaves one brush that I'm not a huge fan of; the E60 Large Shader. The quality of the brush seems to be great; I think my eyes are just to small for it. I could maybe use it to put a base shadow, but unless I am putting base from the bottom of my lid all the way to right below my brows, I think the E55 works best for me.
Of course, now I want to replace my face brushes with new ones....
Can I join in on this thread, too? I've been lurking for a little bit on the previous thread, and it motivated me to try new looks with my make-up (and let's face it, wear make-up every day..I used to rarely wear make-up!). I can actually use more than one color of eyeshadow without looking like a total clown now haha! I finally purchased a liquid eyeliner last month...I'm not very good at it, but I'm learning. :-)
My current favorites are:
Foundation: Urban Decay Naked Foundation Blush: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour blush (current favorite is Dollface) Eyeshadow: Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Mascara: Benefit's They're Real Lip: Too Faced Melted (current favorite is Melted Fig)
Id like to find a palette I love this year. I have resisted the naked, chocolate bar and all tartes. Just a simple cool toned palette please
What about the IT Naturally Pretty palette? There are a few warmer colors, but most of them feel cool to me.
I love mine, but I wouldn't call it a cool palette. I've yet to find a true cool option. LM has one out thats a contender, assuming the reviews are good.

What's the LM palette? It's been hard for me to find cool palettes (so far I have the IT Naturally Pretty, LORAC Pro, Stila In the Moment, and Too Faced Beaudoin Eyes, but the IT one seems to be the closest to cool).
@majorwife LM Artist Palette from either this year or last year. Last year could be on ebay, but this year is probably still available at Sephora or on the site-- bonus it is on sale! I bought it in the extra 20% off sale items sale which I think is still going on until the end of day.
I got the UD Smoked palette, Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask, UD All Nighter makeup setting spray, MUFE Mist & Fix setting spray (will return which ever one I don't like, or both if they suck), and Boscia peppermint blotting papers.
I bought Oil of Olay Regenerist Intensive Night Cream too, trying to find out if that or the Clinique is better than the regular cheap Night of Olay I use now.
You mentioned 20% off that smoked palette - was that Ulta or Sephora?
Are skin care recs part of the MUT? I started using CeraVe a few months ago and I highly, HIGHLY recommended recommend. I started Retin-A (again) and this is the first time I didn't get red, flakey and irritated. Plus some of my wrinkles went away!

I love my Boudoir eyes! I wish they'd make a full size palette with that color scheme/feel.

Sephora. It's through today, the palette comes with a mini eyeshadow primer and a full size eyeliner. It's discounted to 20 bucks then another 20% off on top of that with "extra20".
Not sure if these have been talked about before, but I recently started using them and O.M.G. they are my new HG.I never seem to get enough sleep at night, and most mornings I wake up with dark circles and tired, puffy looking eyes. These, followed by a little concealer, and I'm good to go!
How often do you use them?
Probably about three times/week, just depends on how puffy my eyes are. On days when they're not toooo bad, I use this cheap Target gel mask for a few minutes before moisturizing and makeup.
The Smoked palette is 20 bucks with an extra 20% off, worth it?
I have this and used it daily until I got the Naked 2. I used it mostly for the neutral colors; I bought it for the emerald green, but the color was not as green on as it looked, which was disappointing, but other than that I like it a lot. It came with a book of looks with tutorials too, which I also liked.
Wicked looks like a good color too. ::sigh:: I need this crap to come back in stock.
Also, I have a Sephora giftcard, anyone wanna help me spend it? $45, but I can go over.
I have MUFE shadows in Aquatic Khaki, Pink Granite, and Petrol Blue… But I am not so sure. I like the colors. the three colors aren't supposed to be a series. Just nothing that I own.
Also Kat Von De Velvet Matte liquid lipstick in Bauhau5.
I was looking at NARS Dragon Girl Matte Lip Pencil. It got 10/10 from temptalia. I'm not sure I need another red.
My New Year's Makeup Resolution is to try this contouring stuff everyone keeps talking about.
For which, of course, I will need a bronzer, so feel free to make some recs.
Drugstore: NYX blush in taupe / mominatrix can recommend one too I think...
Prestige: Benefit hoola
ETA: It might have been NYC's, I've read a lot of good reviews about that one.
for the highlight, Wet N Wild "bronzer" in Reserve Your Cabana is a HG product. It's amazing. And cheap. It's been compared to the Ambient Light thingies, and my guess is it's similar.
read the Makeup Alley reviews. these folk are serious, and they're right, it's amazing. And it's four bucks, and that's without a BOGO that always seems to be there for WnW products somewhere.
The Smoked palette is 20 bucks with an extra 20% off, worth it?
Not really. I thought all the color colors are muddy. The neutrals are good if you need them and there is a dark brown and black if you can use them. I hate the eye liner that comes with it. It's way too soft and smudgy.

I like Cereve too. I was diagnosed with Rosacea a couple of years ago and it doesn't break me out which is of course awesome:)
What palettes are y'all eyeing in the $20-50 range?
I've had the Lorac Unzipped Palette in my cart for a while now, just need to pull the trigger. nuggetbrain I've been using Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask for about a month now, and I love how soft and smooth my face feels in the morning.

I looove the moisture surge overnight mask. I hope you do too!
