I'm reading Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. I can't wait to figure out where it's all going (it's going somewhere, right?) but it's good reading even if I don't know how is going to connect.
Reading a discovery of witches. Not sure how I feel. About a third done but it is a little slow with the pacing. Also not sure if I really feel the tension she is supposed to be creating.

I would highly suggest watching the movie after you finish the book. The overall story of both the book and movie is one of my favorites right now.
I started The Paying Guests yesterday. I finally broke down and bought it for my IRL book club (a 30 plus day wait at the library), not very excited, but hoping it will surprise me.

I just started "The Day the World Came to Town" which is about a small town in Newfoundland that had a bunch (like 30-40) of Trans-Atlantic flights land there on 9/11 when US airspace closed. It's all about how the town came together to take care of everyone. The first bit has been good so I'm looking forward to the rest.
I had five books on hold at the library and they all came in at the same time. I'm halfheartedly reading The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty. It's just not catching my attention and honestly, I can't empathize with any of the characters. They're all pretty shallow and obnoxious.
The other books I checked out are - Our Mother's War: American Women at Home and at the Front During WWII by Emily Yellin Seven Blessings by Ruchama King Visible City by Tova Mirvis
NONE of them sound interesting to me now and I think I'm probably going to return all of them without finishing them.
I have just a few pages left in The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells by Andrew Sean Greer. It's been a pretty good story, and reminds me a little bit of Outlander.
I started reading The Silent Wife on Christmas night and finished it a few days later - very good! Now I am sinking my teeth into Dept. of Speculation by Jenny Offil. The writing style is interesting. Took me a few chapters to adjust to it.
Eh. I think she's introducing too many characters. Some have new information and are interesting, but lots of these back stories are repetitive and blurring together. Is she setting it up for a new round of Vampire Chronicles detailing the lives of these guys?

I just stopped reading books for a little while at the end of last year, so I'm jumping back in now! A little late to this thread, but I'm reading Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter. I like it so far. I just finished The Last Anniversary by Liane Moriarty. I like her stuff, but that one wasn't my favorite.
