My phone's battery is something awful. I have to rig it up carefully so the phone will charge at all....in the car or house. I'm not up for an upgrade until August. #firstworldproblems
I cold contacted a candidate for an accounting position I'm recruiting for. I think she gave me a false number for someone's pimp. He was quite entertaining when I tried to call her just now...
I'm tired...again. It's either cold weather or my awesome immune system fighting off the man cold my DH recently acquired. (Clearly, I'm delusional about the aforementioned possibilities and I'm really just pregnant. I"m going to live in la la land today.)
I just successfully set up filters for/deleted over 400 emails on my personal email address. My inbox is great! I'd like to also thank Pinterest (stand up and wave to everyone!) for having most of these people responsible for all these e-zines as registered users on your site. I'd much rather see these great articles on your site. Thank you.
Spent my morning with a few episodes of Lost while cuddling pup and cross stitching. Love snow days! (especially since we didn't get any snow...it's for the wind chills). Tomorrow until afternoon is supposed to be just as cold, so I'm waiting to see if they'll call off tomorrow too.

I feel like I've been really negative the last few days, especially when it comes to judging people I encounter. In an effort to combat this, I've been consciously trying to think a nice thought about someone when I catch myself judging them. That goal is nearly impossible right now. I'm on a hotel shuttle bus to a conference and this guy is yelling at the driver for waiting on someone who had to run back to his room. Literally yelling that he has a meeting and is going to be late. I keep trying to think of something positive and I just can't. My mind immediately goes to "if your meeting is that important, maybe you should have taken a cab instead of depending on a free shuttle with a bunch of stops, jerk." Mission failed.
Eta: positivity mission totally aborted. He is now yelling on the phone about how he is a venture capitalist and won't stand for this...yelling on his flip phone. I can't be nice this week. Never mind.
The cold will linger here until Sunday. My next-door neighbor decided to snow blow his driveway at 5:30 this morning, which was not fun. It was super loud.
Does anyone watch the Vampire Diaries? I'm almost at the end of the first season and am enjoying it more than I expected.

I'm debating on how to dress tomorrow. Just for today I wore my work-out pants with a pair of thermals over them and a pair of running pants over the work-out and thermals, and it's supposed to be even colder tomorrow, neg temps. I may have to wear a pair of thermals under my work-out pants, and then the same over the work-out pants as I did today.

I think we have a ghost. Sometimes the light goes on and off by itself. Today the heater in the bedroom went on by itself even though the knob is turned to off. I hope it's a friendly ghost.

I'm not kidding when I say that my next door neighbors had a ghost in their place. The tv would turn on and off on it's own and light bulbs in the bathroom vanity would be screwed in all the way, and when they got home the bulbs wouldn't turn on and they would be loosened in the socket.

Ok, the bulb thing is freaky.
I wouldn't have believed it if it hadn't come from not only the owners who used to live in the house, but also from the tenants who moved in after the owners moved. Oh, they didn't move because of the ghost. LOL
@stargazer I have seen all the seasons. The newer seasons are not very good but I have to keep watching since I've been with VD since the beginning.
Ugh. We just got a note under our door for a rent increase. Lame... I suppose it's been almost 2 years of living here. It was bound to happen eventually. Still. Ugh.
okay, so I've been watching the tv show Greek on netflix. it had 6 seasons. I had just begun season 4. so I sit down to watch it on Monday night, and lo and behold, it's not on netflix anymore! I found a list of shows/movies that netflix discontinued as of Jan 1, and Greek was on it. so bummed!
I have also been watching Vampire Diaries, since the beginning. however, I'm not watching this season since Dish does not carry CW channel. wtf. so I'll just wait until after the season is over and catch it on netflix (assuming they don't cancel it like they did Greek, grrr).
I thought of a really great confession to post this morning while I was getting ready for work, but when I went to make a post a few hours later I had completely forgotten what it was.
I did a few things this morning, laundry, dishes, budgeting software updating, and whatnot. DH came home for lunch then I planned on unpacking this afternoon. Instead I played on my phone then took a two hour nap on the couch until a text message woke me up. No regrets!
Our power went out...on the coldest night. This sucks!
Oh no! You'll have to stay warm! Can you go somewhere else, a friend's house or hotel?
The roads are really bad here. We could go to the ILs if absolutely necessary. The power company says it should be fixed in an hour and a half. We are going to wait it out I think.
