Please explain this! I have to hear about this one. I can't picture you getting into a fight.
Hahaha. I actually used to get in fights back in school. I wasn't a fight-cat, but I could throw a punch if necessary. None of that hair pulling nonsense.
DS was playing a football game (throw footballs into one of three holes to get tickets, kinda like those basketball dunking games). He got excited when he made one in and jumped around. In doing that, he knocked the cup of tokens out of my hand and they scattered at my feet. DS kept playing while I picked up the tokens.
A woman beside me (she saw DS bump me and saw the tokens fall) started picking them up too and I foolishly assumed she was helping me. We both stood up and the ones she picked up, she put in her own cup. I told her those were my son's tokens that he knocked out of my hand and she said finders keepers and went to the game beside us to play (no kid, she was playing the games herself).
I turned around and saw an employee, but she didn't see anything happen so she couldn't do anything. So I hip checked the annoying woman into the game she was playing, just hard enough to knock her tokens out of her hand, scooped up a bunch of them, said finders keepers and turned back to DS.
Probably not the most mature thing I've ever done, but I got my tokens back.
My girlfriend who doesn't have cable asked me yesterday if I was going into the office today. I said yes and she asked if she could come to my house to watch Downton Abbey (she knows I DVR it). I told her she could. Changed my mind this morning and decided to work from home. She texted me asking if it was still cool for her to come watch my TV. I told her I decided to work from home so it wouldn't work out. Now I feel guilty for being in my own fucking house!
My favorite part...Ā DS played skeeball for the first time and he loves it.Ā HeĀ found a machine he liked, put his little cup of tokens on the topĀ and parked himself there for an entire hour.
Update: Old employer dumped them in October and transferred all accounts to a new manager. Thank God. I just haven't seen the end of year statement yet to know this.
This solidifies my resolve to get everything situated!
It's not ringing a bell. I might have dipped out of SO prior to her posting.
This was looooooooooooong ago and I thought she was a TIP poster. She also had another screenname. @newdamnkussname ? Maybe she was on a different board, argh. I need a Kuus like memory.

It's not even 4pm on Monday and my boss is already over this week. WHEE! I'm really glad I took some initiative on things last week because it's going to make this week so much easier.

I spilled diet coke all over my laptop. I just finished a full disassembly and now everything is sitting in rice over night. Hopefully when I put it back together tomorrow everything is dandy. If not I'll be really mad at myself.

Now I'm going to start drinking.
Hang in there. Let the rice work its magic!
I just checked my work email from home and at 4:45 I got an email from the coworker who tried to pawn off her job duties on me before... she told me "I need your keys to the HR file cabinets, I am taking them."
She is insinuating that she is dumping the files and taking the actual cabinets. LOL they are full of HR files. HR. You work in payroll/accounting. Why the fuck would you presume that you can have some random fucking cabinets from a different department and just take them? There are confidential files in there and they need to be locked up, plus....who the fuck is so presumptuous and pompous that they can demand some weird, random and inconsequential office supply when they can actually request a brand new one themselves? I am WTF'ing all over the place and am really irritated with her. Office politics exhaust me. There is simply no reason for what she is doing.
Chirp have you been to Dutch Wonderland? If so, tell me about it.
I've never been inside the park, but I've driven past it a bajillion times and I was in the gift shop once. There's a very defined "dragons and castles" theme going on. And there's a dinosaur section too. I get the feeling Bubby would have fun.
