Things are OK for me. Still getting through year-end processing for our group to close out 2014, but I'm doing about as best as I can with my new stuff as well.

Oh man. I despise when people can't be professional and do what is best for the company. Don't these people realize that if they company fails everyone is jobless!?

One suggestion is that when you are providing them with new or alternative ways of doing something and they are resistant I find it very helpful to ask them to try the new way for X weeks, days, whatever and then schedule a meeting to talk about how the new way compares with the old way and if it's better, worse, etc... and if they have any suggestions to make things even more efficient.
People really get stuck in the "we've always done it this way!" mindset so being able to ease them slowly out of it is a good skill to have!
