Definitely. It takes us 45 min to get across town to our closest airport. I would gladly drive another 15 min to save that much.
this exactly.
i'm less inclined to drive 4 hours to vancouver to save on flights, but i've done it for $1000+. it has to be worth my time, gas, food, etc.

Yes! And for the record we love Jet Blue! More legroom, free checked bag, lots of snacks, good coffee, friendly service, Tvs, good airline.

Yes. Where I grew up it always took us an hour to get to the airport. $800 bonus for doing so? No question.

Most definitely. I also happen to love Jet Blue so added bonus! Thanks for the notice about the sale - we're trying to plan a trip for the summer.

Without a doubt, but then I've never not had to travel about an hour to an airport.

Of course! The airport in my city is 30 minutes away so 30 more minutes to save $800 seems like a no brainer.

In a heartbeat. An hour each way is nothing for $800. I'd probably do it for half of that.

Yes. My H almost always drives to one of the two larger airports around here (both about an hour away) to save on fares.

Absolutely. It's $$$ to fly out of my local airport and change at another, and cheaper to just drive 1.5 hour to another airport for direct flights.

Of course. That is a lot of money and one hour is not a big deal. Some people commute to their jobs one hour each way.

Yes, we live in San Antonio and often drive to Austin for more affordable flights. Not worth it for one person, but for a family totally worth it!

Absolutely. I'm pretty much an hour from the larger of our two airports anyway, so we would definitely choose that one for cheaper tickets.
