Do you have plans yet? Yep! Every year we go to a black tie gala and stay in a nice hotel downtown. This year the gala is on the 21st, though, so we may also go out to dinner on the 14th.
What was your best Valentine's? The year that BIL & SIL came along to the gala was extra fun.
Your worst? When I was still in college in PA and G had graduated and moved home to MD, I came down for VDay weekend. His parents wouldn't let us stay in his room together. So we got a hotel room. Except that the hotel overbooked and didn't have a room for us, so they put us in the living room of the presidential suite on a pull-out couch. The hotel had an inner courtyard that the living room overlooked and the curtains were transparent! So, probably a bunch of people saw us have sex, but no way was I going to miss out!
If you don't like to celebrate Valentine's, what do you do to show your partner you love them? I love Valentine's Day.
I'll be crying into a vat of wine, obvs. LOL, not really.
It's also Presidents day weekend, and I had wanted to visit my brother, but it's not exactly the ideal time to go to Maine anyway. I'll probably see if my sister wants to come down and celebrate "Gal-entine's Day" a la Leslie Knope.

Do you have plans yet? - nope!
What was your best Valentine's? - hmm, maybe the year that hubby and I got a hotel and went out for a nice dinner. That was good.
Your worst? - high school. A boy that I had friend zoned came to my work (at the mall, lol) and asked me out in front of all my co-workers. I turned him down. I was so embarrassed!
If you don't like to celebrate Valentine's, what do you do to show your partner you love them? - I do chocolates for hubby every year. I think he likes it!

Do you have plans yet? Yes, going to an acoustic set of Michael Franti with H, BIL and SIL. It's not that we are going for Vday, it just happens to fall on it.
What was your best Valentine's? I have actually never celebrated, even as a kid, so I can't say. I also never had a BF until I was 17 because I was too busy with all my friends and no one really did anything for me. I more or less just hooked up.
Your worst? My date took me out to an extremely over-crowded chain restaurant with a ridiculous wait time. I was so hungry by the time we sat I was ready to bite his head off just for some food.
If you don't like to celebrate Valentine's, what do you do to show your partner you love them? Might be a little extra lovey, but really, it is just another day for me.

Do you have plans yet? No. I'm not a big Valentines fan.
What was your best Valentine's? Last year. B and I exchanged small gifts and I made dinner and we spent the night watching movies.
Your worst? A couple years ago I told me ex we were done on Valentine's Day. That relationship ended with a broken front door, police and a no contact order. Whee!
If you don't like to celebrate Valentine's, what do you do to show your partner you love them? I'm big on doing small things continuously. Picking up his favorite candy, making dinners he likes, etc.

We don't have plans yet for this year. H most likely has to work until 8:30 that night, so if anything, we may go out for drinks and dessert after. No gifts this year--we are putting that money toward vacation.
My favorite Valentine's Day? That's a tough question. We don't normally do anything over-the-top, just dinner. They have all been nice.
Do you have plans yet? - No, we're still getting through our birthday month.
What was your best Valentine's? - Probably the first VDay after we got married and moved into our house. Made a fancy home-cooked meal, danced in the living room after drinking a bottle of wine, exchanged gifts and just enjoyed being together.
Your worst? - meh, nothing too horrendous that I can think of. I was out of the country with friends last year on VDay, so we celebrated it late, but that isn't out of the norm since often he ended up having soccer games sometimes on VDay forcing us to do something on another day.
If you don't like to celebrate Valentine's, what do you do to show your partner you love them? It's not that we don't celebrate it, but it's not a big deal to us since both our bdays are the previous month, and I spent years in the service industry and am basically over the idea of being out in a crowded restaurant or movie theater on that particular day. I'd rather go out a few days earlier/later when the crowds have all disappeared and it feels more calm and relaxing for us. We've basically been in the routine of cooking a meal together on the actual day and switch up the menu each year.
