Okay, I feel better knowing it is all healthy desserts. I did also get the runner's world cookbook which has some awesome looking desserts in it. I will have to let you know how those come out.

M kept offering me bites of the pint of ben & jerry's he was eating last night. I made chocolate banana bread cupcakes instead...for 85 cal/each
I've been feeling this way about my BFF from high school :/ it sucks.
I finally saw a few episodes of Girl Meets World. It was fine, but I feel like it being a Disney show on a Disney channel it's never going to "go there" like BMW did. The humor that made BMW so great just wasn't there.
I just saw an episode where Shawn was there...and I do love me some Shawn, but it all feels way too Disney for my liking.

I hope they keep on with the Shawn/Katy/Maya story line they started. Which would mean more Shawn Hunter.
I am way too invested in this show. But it's ok because bear is too. We're dorks. We watch it every week. The kids all scatter but we sit there and watch it. If we miss it, we watch it on demand. LOL
Okay, I will take your advice and try a few of her recipes. You did not steer me wrong with Skinnytaste.
The cookie dough dip was the recipe that lead me to her blog. The best part is that you can serve it as a normal dessert, and no one will ask you if it's made "healthy" - they just eat it and accept it as a brownie or a cookie or whatever.
And, to return the favor, I highly recommend the Thug Kitchen cookbook. It is vegan, but you can put some meat in some recipes if you feel the need.

I LOVE Skinnytaste! I have the cookbook but haven't made anything from it yet. My go to is the Buffalo Chicken Dip, my father in law loves it and has no clue it is is "healthy"! I also make the Buttermilk Ranch dressing and keep it thicker to use it as a dip. Again, no one knows it is healthy.

M is willing to try just about anything, but he's picky with what he will deem "awesome" food. There is not a signle thing I've made out of the Skinnytaste cookbook (or blog!) that he hasn't asked me to make again.
P is picky too. If it is "normal", he will try it. But if I said I was making a cookie dip out of beans, he would gag. Lol. So, the true test will be what he says after I make it (and don't tell him what is in it).

Are both of those in the cookbook?
If they are, you might need to PM me the Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe as a thank you for getting you the book!

I didn't see the Shawn episode. I need to fix this, obviously.

I think there's been 2, so far! The one I saw, the other night, was them scheming to get Shawn and Maya's mom together.

This is one I've been watching sans kids too! I also watch Degrassi. My teenager just rolls her eyes at me!

chalupa, H has never had a complaint about anything I have made from Skinny Taste and he will actually look at me and ask if this is really low calorie/healthy. He always says it doesn't tast like it is.
Ugh I just remembered that I volunteered to go to a meeting tonight for someone who is out of town. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. All I want to do is go home and lay around because I'm SO TIRED.

I've been home with a sick DS today. I took him to the dr since he has a fever, and they said it is most likely a sinus infection. The only way I knew he was sick was his extra cuddliness and he felt really warm. Otherwise he is playing with his trucks right now. He said he was excited when I told him we were going to see the dr. He knew what the dr would do too. Yay for Doc McStuffins?
I had a date of sorts last night (I went and hung out at his bar). We had a pretty much instant in-person connection and I felt comfortable with him right away. After the person closing arrived, he sat next to me and we chatted more. He said "obviously we're doing this again" as a way of asking for a second date. I gave him a ride to the train station and we briefly kissed before he had to go. He must've sent me a text almost as soon as he got on the train last night and then we continued to text all night.
The upshot is that he and I are really similar in some ways and he's cute and funny and I think we're both excited about each other. He told me to stop by his bar any time I want because it would be a nice surprise.

Any downsides?
He manages a bar so his schedule might become problematic. His first name is the same as stbxh's but he goes by a nickname, he's about the same height and build as stbxh, both have played hockey (though he briefly played professionally). Those are superficial (to me) things and I don't think of them as similar. So far he seems like a nice, mostly normal guy. I didn't even list all the good things.
