My BFF and her H are going to be in Vietnam so we're going to meet them over the long Easter weekend. We'll be there 6 nights, mostly in hoi an, probably with a day trip to hue, and we're open to going to danang if there is a compelling reason.
We will have my then 19 month old with us.
Any hotel or restaurant recs? Any must do (toddler friendly) activities?
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain

brit, did you bring your DD with you? I'm used to non-stroller friendly places and restaurants never having high chairs, but is there anything else toddler related I might need to know?

No, this was pre-DD. Many of the sidewalks in Hoi An were horrendously uneven. If you have a jogging/off-road stroller, that might be a good plan. We have done well with our Bob in places like that, but obviously I haven't specifically used it there.
I'm sure it will be amazing with a child - that's all about your attitude anyway.

Ah, ok. Thank you though! We probably won't bring one, it's nice to have in the airport but she doesn't really like riding in it anyway.
Totally get stuff made! I had an awesome winter jacket made in blazing August heat that I had to schlep around for weeks. For $45 USD (I even used my American debit card with no transaction/conversion fee) it was totally worth it!

I'm already designing some shoes in my head. I'd really like to buy some nice, simple, leather sandals for less than a hundred dollars. This seems like the place to do it.
