Sorry about the sick kiddos, CallingAllAngels and cinco. Hope everyone is on the mend soon!
kams, keeping up yoga through 34 wks (yes, I've never been pregnant, but feel I can comment on this) is AWESOME. Plus, like you mentioned, you've been sick. I can only imagine how frustrating it is to adjust your activities and deal with all of the body changes of pregnancy, but you're almost there and you have done a phenomenal job. Hang in there!
Maybe it's because I'm sick right now, but I think I'm about to the end of my yoga practice for this pregnancy. I feel like I've hit a wall. My body is so uncomfortable, and I'm just a day short of 34 weeks. I feel like it's too early
I can completely understand that. I think my exercise more or less stopped at 34 weeks. I know many people run on the day that they deliver and all, but I just wasn't one of them and I suspect that I'm not alone. It will be ok!
I stopped from 34-38w. That last few days of running (shuffling?) around 38w was desperation to have the baby. Running the day I gave birth is far less impressive than it sounds. Haha.

I kept running in hopes that it would put me into labor. Didn't help, hello 41 week induction.
The WOD has not been posted on my gym's website. I don't need to know what it is but I like to mentally prepare for whatever they plan on throwing at us. I don't cherry pick. I always go even if I hate everything about the WOD.
Thanks brit & theoriginalbean - I'm hoping that I might have a couple of weeks left once I kick this gross cough. But, if I don't, I appreciate the commiseration.
Maybe flame worthy -- I'm really just afraid that I will gain like crazy if I stop, even though I am really happy with my gains for the pregnancy overall, and I have little appetite at this point anyway. Idk, maybe I'm being ridiculous,
I absolutely 100% understand where you're coming from. If you're on track, though, I would try not to worry about it (and I know, easier said than done). I personally never gained much at the end of either, whether or not I was exercising regularly (because I pretty much just alternated between laying by the pool and laying next to the air conditioner watching SATC reruns with my first).

I am irritated at my body. I've got a wide constellation of random symptoms - inexplicable and excessive weight gain, hair loss, fatigue/exhaustion, cold fingers, random joint pain, etc - that's all suggestive of thyroid issues. But all my bloodwork (with the exception of Vitamin D, which is always low) came back WELL within normal limits. Not even remotely suspicious for anything. So WTH is going on? Ugh.
Thanks you guys. I planned to stop by about 37 weeks, because even though my water never broke with DD1, the thought of it potentially breaking in the hot room makes me so incredibly uncomfortable! Ha! Irrational thoughts consume me lately!
I dont think I gained much at the end with DD1, but I got puffier - and actually, hot yoga may not help with that
I got nothing to whine about except I'm hungry, no snacks on the Whole 30 plan. I'm drinking lots of water to stave off the hunger. But I'm cold and drinking tons of water doesn't make me less cold.

1. I hate winter.
2. I joined a new gym on Saturday, and I'm going to try out a new class at 6:30 am tomorrow, and then get ready for work and head in straight from there. I'm a little nervous because (a) new gym and new class, and (b) I'm worried I'll forget to pack something really important, like an article of clothing or soap or something. I've already packed my gym bag, but still. I must have forgotten something!

I don't know all the Whole 30 rules, but can you drink tea? Normally I prefer my tea sweetened, but I like peppermint tea plain.

PCOS? I was pulling hair out by the clumps.
This sounds like pcos to me too. I have a lot of those symptoms.

Isn't it diagnosed via pelvic exam/hormonal bloodwork? I had that stuff done ~6 months ago (we are IF, but it's R's fault. LOL) and everything I was tested for/with (and I do mean everything) came back within normal limits. Also, cycles are super regular and normal. Like, about as normal as they can be.
So far, the doctor has ruled out the thyroid, anemia, and depression.

I have pain behind both my knees and it's pissing me off. I have 2 races in March and don't have time for this. I took today off but I am hoping I can run tomorrow.

Did they do a pelvic ultrasound? My sister and I both have pcos, her cycles are completely normal, mine are not. She has a wonky thyroid, all my bloodwork comes back normal. A lot of your symptoms are classic pcos symptoms, but no two people are affected by it the same way.
I'm whining on Thursday. I took this morning as a rest day to grab an extra hour of much needed sleep. Now I'm cranky because I didn't work out. I guess it's a reminder of how mentally refreshing working out is, especially on a crazy work day. Grrrr.....

I went to the gym at 6 am to try a new boot camp class, and the instructor didn't show up. WTF. I could've slept in! Now I need to squeeze in a strength workout at lunch time.

Oh, I would be so annoyed. Probably a stupid question, but when they didn't show up, why didn't you just do your workout then? I know there is a perfectly good reason, I'm just curious. LOL

Partly because I only had 45 minutes, and I wasted 15 minutes waiting to see if the instructor would show up. So I still had 30 minutes, but I was hoping for a strength based workout (which is what this class was billed as), and I suck at lifting weights on my own. So now I'm going to try a different class this afternoon
I really hope the instructor shows up next Thursday, because it would be great if I can get my workout out of the way in the morning.

It's cold, rainy, and icy here. I hate winter! And I have a really busy work schedule this week so I won't get outside for a single run until this weekend.
