Am I missing a link on the Costco website for viewing/ordering a sheet cake? The only Cakes link I see doesn't say anything about ordering custom cakes: www.costco.com/cakes-cookies.html
How much do they cost, and how many people do they serve? The link above tells me that a half-sheet will serve 48 people.
Meanwhile, Shop Rite has an ordering form on the website. It's telling me that a half-sheet cake, filled, is $35 and will feed 25-35 people. And they seem to have more flavors and fillings available than Costco. Any opinions on Shop Rite's cakes?
Their cakes are fabulous but you have to order in store. They don't have many varieties for decorations but if something they have works for you, I'd totally go with them.

They also tend to have some ready-to-go cakes in various themes/decorations in the refrigerated section by the bakery if you don't have time to go beforehand to order specifically.
I wish they allowed slightly more customization in the cake/filling options (apparently a few years ago they did), but for the price I really can't complain!

Yeah Costco cakes are pretty awesome & serve about 50 people. Should be about $18. You have to order in store. Flavor options are: white cake with cheesecake filling & butter cream incing chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling & butter cream icing carrot cake (not sure on the filling) & butter cream icing
Costco cake is delicious. When DH ordered one a few months ago he asked the person in the bakery and they said the don't have to be only vanilla cake/white butter cream or chocolate cake/chocolate butter cream but that you can do vanilla/chocolate or chocolate/white if you write it in on the top of the form. I am not sure if all Costcos do this but it appears that ours does.
