After seeing @holly's blog and Verona's curtain update, I've decided to lighten it up in here. The dark gray blue we have on the walls is just not cutting it for me.
Does anyone have a favorite gray that they've used? Do you have photos?

We have BM Revere Pewter in one of our bathrooms, BM Classic Gray in DS's room and BM Moonshine in DD's room. Revere Pewter is a mid-tone, lighter than what you already have on your walls. Classic Gray is my favorite of the three--a true light gray, IMO, with no purple / blue undertones. Moonshine, on the other hand, can definitely read light blue in some lighting.
Let me tell you, gray is so hard!! I ended up having to create my own gray. Either it was too blue or too purple. My favorite dark great is Martha Stewart Zinc though.
I know! The gray we have currently is too blue for me.

I hate grey paint!! Well I absolutely love it, but it's so hard to get just the right grey. We're *hopefully* doing our kitchen in a darkish grey but I can't commit to a color. We did a blue grey for the baby's room, but it's way too light. I can't find the perfect one!
What is Holly's blog?? I'd love to see what she has.

I used tempered gray in my living room and I love it. It's from Valspar, but I would get it color matched to SW or BM.
ETA: what I like about it is that it's not too warm or too cool. It doesn't really have any obvious color to it (doesn't look blue/green/purple). I think it could pretty much go with anything.

We are currently painting our new house Muslin by Dunn Edwards. I loveeeeee it. Originally we wanted Revere Pewter, but our house doesn't have that much light coming through in some areas and it just looked too dark.
DD2's room will be Dunn Edwards Faded Grey. Super subtle, but its perfect for a baby's room.
I'm all about grey right now. I have no less than 25 grey paint samples floating around the house.
I have done mannnnny greys in my projects and I can tell you that it is never a good idea to pick a color without doing a 12x12 inch test swatch on the wall!! Every room is different as far as warmth, sunlight, etc. and I am always surprised at just how crazy different colors look from a color card to a wall. And I would never tell someone to try a grey I've used without doing a swatch because some people are weird and will email me later and be like "that grey was purple in my house!"
I LOVE your current space and cannot wait to see what you do!
I like what you have going on currently, I wouldn't change it.
I like your paint- it's very light but not white.
I don't like the paint because it shows everything. It's flat and I can't get it clean, so finger prints are just there. You can also tell where my dogs lean up against it. The thing that bugs me the most is the flat paint, but if I'm gonna repaint it, might as well go for a color I like more.
We have Behrs Anonymous in our laundry room and I love it. I think it's on the darker side and I don't see any other color undertones in it. We have Coventry Gray in our bedroom and it feels slightly purple to me.
The only thing I'll say is that grey is an abnormally tough colour (and I LOVE IT) because it's very much dependent on not only the light (natural/lamp, etc) but also of the things you put on.
In that, I remember once I painted a room grey, after trying what seemed like a million swatches, and when it finally was painted, I cried because what seemed like true grey looked almost purple/blue when on the walls.
When I put stuff on, it returned to its "true grey" colour.
