I am about to buy a pair of these but some of the online reviews have me worried. There are several that say they have raw, bleeding ankles and blisters from walking in them and they uncomfortable. Did anyone experience this? I'd hate to spend that amount on boots that are as uncomfortable as some of my high heels!

I do not like them. They are SO heavy, though warm. I would reccomend the Tivoli high or the Tofino style. Very similar look and warmth but a fraction of the weight.
My friend has a pair and says they're heavy and bulky. I wanted a pair for Christmas and she steered me away from them. I ended up with the Ugg Adirondack II and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I actually get excited when it snows because I get to wear them.
I really liked them online but then I tried them on and they are so much higher than I thought they would be they also ran a little big on my size 8.5 feet. I tried on the 9's. They didn't seem to have half sizes.

I've also heard they are bulky and heavy. I just got the Tofino and love them! I am usually an 8.5 or 9, and ordered a 9 because I had tried on a different style of sorels and the 8.5 seemed a bit small. The 9 is a little too big but they are still very comfortable and NO blisters or rubbing or anything like that.

I expected them to be shorter too. The fur also seemed too wide, to me. I can't comment on the comfort because I sent them back. They seemed really warm though. I liked that.

Thanks I ended up ordering the tivolis instead!
Love the Tivolis! Those are the ones I have. I used to buy Sorel and in 2012 we still had Joan of Arctics in stores from 2009 that people still weren't buying!

Huh. I love my Joan of Arctic boots. No issues with them at all, but I'm a curvy, tall girl with huge feet. I had to size up to a Women's 12 (normally an 11) on these boots so maybe that's why people are having issues? they're ordering too small?
I have them and love them as well. I wore them for my walking commute of s mile when still in Chicago and still wear them in Denver. They keep my feet warm and dry and are durable. This is winter #3 with them.
