So far I've just been using Aveno and/or Nivea. I should probably read the ingredient list a little closer but upon my initial skim neither looked horrible. I did stop using the medicated Gold Bond stuff through.

I use pure coconut oil & Nuby Brazil Nut Belly Butter on my belly & boobs & thighs, then just good ol' normal lotion (the brand name is escaping me) everywhere else.
I'm using the Mustela stretch mark double action lotion. I love it. Not sure if it does anything for preventing stretch marks but so far so good. (I will warn you it does have a fragrance at first I didn't like it and thought it was strong but I must have gotten use to it because I don't even notice it now)
I have also used Burts bee's mama bee butter, Earth mama angel baby lotion and oil and Belli Skin Care lotion and oil. I'm a product junky!). Mustela has been my favorite.

I've been using the Palmer's stuff. I figured it was fairly cheap and smells delicious! I only use it on my stomach and hips, occasionally boobs too. For everywhere else I just use a normal body lotion when I remember/have time to put it on. I think it's Jergens?
I've been using bath and body works stuff this whole time. Oops.
I had no idea I was even supposed to look at the ingredients in lotions. I've been using Cerave cream in the jar. It's unscented and nothing exciting but it's the only thing that works on my winter skin. My sister gave me a coconut scented gift set from the Body Shop for Christmas and it smelled great and felt nice but I've used up the little jar of Body Butter that it came with.
I use oil instead of lotion. It saved me from my "winter skin" which was dry misery. I've used the Burts Bees oil, but there are a few good paraben and cruelty free options out there.
Uh, I had no idea I was supposed to avoid certain lotions. I've been using Vaseline intensive care fragrance free, which is what I always use on my hands, legs, and feet normally, and I've been putting it on my belly this winter, too. The ingredients include methylparaben and propylparaben. Am I poisoning my baby??? (huh)

I'm using bio oil on my boobs, stomachs, and hips. Curel fragrance free everywhere else. I have some palmers cocoa butter lotion but I don't like the smell :/
I haven't read any labels... Didn't know that I needed to
I guess I'm (shockingly) breezy about this. Parabens are in lotions, shampoos/conditioners, lotions, baby products, makeup...everywhere. There doesn't seem to be enough solid research on them to know if absorbing them through the skin can cause any problems.
Though I completely understand panicking and thinking you poisoned the baby....early in my pregnancy I accidentally touched my tongue with wet nail polish and had a complete breakdown over it, thinking I poisoned my baby with the tiny bit I tasted.

No.
Not even close.
Thanks That was hyperbole, but I really meant should I be switching lotions for the last 11 weeks.

If you adopt a paraben and chemical free lifestyle you would have to avoid most personal care items like cosmetics, perfume, deodorant, and hair products including shampoo and conditioner. Parabens and chemicals are everywhere, not just body lotions. It's really difficult to find a whole line of products that are complety chemical free.
I think the risks here are pretty slight, especially when compared the to risks posed by coffee intake during pregnancy (which some ppl on this board tend to advocate). In that situation, a powerful stimulant is actually being introduced directly into the bloodstream, whereas parabens can only be absorbed into the skin.

Swallows my last sip of English breakfast tea. Oops.

Anybody have a rec for a good, safe facial moisturizer? I have really sensitive skin. Olay Regenerist moisturizer seems to work fine normally, but I can't find a good list of ingredients to know if it is safe or not.

Anything from La Roche Posay is paraben free, formaldehyde free, and heavily vetted by dermatologists. I used a variety of their products since I have a formaldehyde allergy which causes bad eczema flare-ups. They are universally recommended for sensitive skin types and completely scent-free.
I use the Lipikar line of products in the winter when my skin is dry and angry. During the summer I use their Anthelios and Hydrantoine lines which are fantastic. They also have a really good Roseliac lineup for people with rosacia and blotchy or unever skin.
It's actually nice in a way being limited to a single product line. I don't have to think too hard when I am at the drugstore and I think they have everything for my needs.
I'm worried about how to notify everyone before my baby shower that they cannot buy me any soaps, creams, or other products for baby. I will have to donate or pass it on to others since I will likely be allergic to more than half of it. Blech.

Have the shower invitations gone out yet? If not, I would ask the hostess to include a note stating that you have allergies and that gifts with anything that goes on the body should be avoided.

I will likely do this when the time comes. I am a few months out as of yet.
I just know (based on Christmas gifts, etc) that no one ever takes me seriously about this stuff. I will spend the rest of this year regifting Bath and Body Works foaming hand soap that I got for Christmas (from my Mom, Stepmom and Aunt, who all know about my issues).
i've been using the burts bees mama belly balm, but for regular body moisturizing i keep a little tube in the shower that i fill with mostly coconut oil, a little grapeseed oil, vitamin E, and jojoba oil. i put it on at the end of my shower. works much better than regular lotion and no chemicals to worry about

Ugh.. that's too bad. Sometimes it's as if people think you don't know about your own allergies. I think a lot of times stores that you register at will take things back even if it wasn't purchased at that store so long as they carry the product. Hopefully if you get anything you can't use you'll be able to return it and get stuff you actually need/want.
The only lotion I stopped using was for my face because it had salicylic acid in it. I still use face wash with salicylic acid, but I figured it doesn't absorb into my skin as much as lotion would.
Meh, otherwise I am using Jergens something or other, too.
