Hi all, Looking to start to plan a child free trip for our anniversary this August/September, for 5-7 days. We are on the East Coast, and looking for some adventure and relaxation. We love self planning and exploring new cultures. Have never been to Vegas/Grand Canyon, so thats on the list but looking for other ideas as well. Help!

The Grand Canyon is awesome! For our 5th anniversary we went back to where we honeymooned, up in Vermont. I don't know what kind of budget you have, but Alaska and Banff/Jasper are both very beautiful.
Thanks ladies, I'm looking into New Orleans as well. Crazy, but from the northern East Coast it's almost as close to go to Europe, which sounds insane. New Orleans is closer to get to, but I've always had Vegas on my "list"

For our 5 year, we are hoping we can afford a trip to Alaska, so that would be my vote!
We might do a cruise or a land/sea trip. I am really hoping to be able to go to Denali, whichever plan we choose. I have never been to Alaska personally, but every single person I know who has gone says it is amazing. Tons of adventure, lots of natural beauty, etc. I am dying to go.
We did a southwest trip a few years ago and it was fun. We flew into Phoenix, drove to Sedona (amazing), Hoover Dam (cool) and Grand Canyon (unreal). We flew out of Vegas.
