I tend to mix my journalism background with my scholarly writing background and get some weird mix. I make my own rules for writing.
(But yes, journalism was one of my undergrad majors)
I tell my husband all the time that writing the equivalent of like 1000 pages while pursuing said degree, means English/Journalism majors are allowed to make their own rules.

I have been told I'm a good writer and I always say I should have been an English major with how much bad grammar bothers me (not that I'm perfect, but some of the things people say..). I majored in psychology though
Nope, although I seriously considered becoming an English teacher. Decided to go for speech therapy instead, so I have a B.S. in Speech and Hearing Handicaps. I'm thinking about going back to school for a masters in nonprofit management, so I might be starting that in August
My B.S. is in Chemistry and I'm finishing a M.A. in Secondary Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
Ironically, I have my working on writing my literature review for my capstone project this morning. And despite my science background, I consider myself a fairly decent writer.
