When my grey guy (middle picture) is shaved he has super cute stripes, but he's a long hair and you can't see them once it's grown out.
My first two cats (as an adult) had Secret Hidden Stripes as well. lol When they were kittens, they were visible but as they grew and aged, they could only be seen on their undercoat. So adorable.
Velvetshady -- Your black & white looks so much like one of mine, they even share the same sleep positions. He loves sleeping on his back with his paws in the air.
I wanna rub the belly and, oh, chin scrinches!
The non-b/w one in my pics has hidden stripes as well, but not as hidden on his tail. You can kind of see the stripes on his legs and belly in this pic:
Oohh, Velvetshady, Hidden Stripe Kitty is so pretty! His coloring looks kind of like a Siamese or Burmese.
We thought he was a Siamese when he adopted us--this is from the he jumped into DH's truck at the mailbox:
But once he got regular meals and filled out to his normal size, we'd figured out that he has at least some Ragdoll in him (he's 25~ lbs in the first two pics, ~15 in this pic). He's fur also is more rabbit-fur like soft vs normal cat fur.
I grew up with 2 Siamese (we even got them in Thailand) and I love Siamese. If we ever get to increase our cat count by our choice vs the cat's choice, I'll be looking at a Siamese rescue near us.
I also have a soft spot for black cats, my first cat I had on my own was a black one.
(She's the "Velvet" from my SN name, the Tortie in the box is the "shady")
Ours don't cuddle with each other and that makes me so sad . The pic with the fire is the closest they get to each other on purpose (they do sometimes touch when they roll around in their sleep).
The black and white one is my old man. He's super grumpy but the little tabby gives no fucks about his attitude and snuggles him anyway. Attachment Deleted
My calico and tabby are sisters from a feral colony that ended up in the yard of one of the girls on my local board. Attachment Deleted
I'm allergic to all animals, as well. I'm just not bright enough to stay away from the cute, fluffy little sneeze-makers.
I told H just to take drugs the rest of his life. Oddly he was not willing to do this.
I'm allergic as well. But I'm also allergic to the rest of the world so I'd be taking meds daily without the cats (and cats/dogs are mild allergies for me compared to pollen, mold, grass, dust, etc.)
