So overall my meet went pretty much meh. I'm not mad about it (unlike when I did this meet last year), I'm ok with it but I expected more.
Squat: 1'st attempt: We jacked up the timing for wraps. I walked on the platform with 20 seconds left on the clock (you get 60 seconds once the head referee declares "Bar is loaded"). Once the head ref said that I should have just walked away. I was already fucked. Missed my opening attempt. 2nd attempt: Repeated attempt of my 1st (407). Killed it like it was nothing. 3rd attempt: Jumped to 435. Easy set up, easy lift, got 2 red lights for depth (including one from the head ref who I know would not red light me unless it was atrocious red lighted me. Weight was easy, just need to work on depth a bit before nationals.
Bench: 1'st attempt: Easy peasy 220. Next. 2nd attempt: almost had 237 locked out but my right hamstring cramped and I couldn't finish. No lift. 3rd attempt: Repeat of second. BOTH hamstring cramped. I need more potassium next meet. No lift.
Deadlift: 1'st attempt: 330. I pull that raw. Pulled it like it ain't no thing. 2nd attempt: Smoked 369. 11 lbs equipped PR like it was nothing. 3rd attempt: 402. Came off the floor so easy but didn't get to my knee. Next time. I've never even attempted that amount because I didn't think it was there.
Total: 997.5. Fucking 1,000 eludes me until nationals. But is still a PR.
Those numbers sound super to me! I know it's not what you hoped, but you will have more opportunities. Hope things just get better from here. Congrats on the PR .
wait, are you kidding?! YOU ARE THE STRONGEST PERSON I KNOW! The guys at my box cannot squat 435#!!! YEEZUS, I am literally in awe of you. And I texted my friends that my "internet friend" is the most bad ass lifter ever.

this seems like as good a place as any to ask - often your posts are totally greek to me. One thing in particular that I've been curious about is your shirt? Or suit? or something? you talk about wearing something for lifting and I have no idea what you're talking about. Tell me more?

Raw lifting is just lifitng in a singlet, belt, and knee sleeves.
Equipped (which is what I did this weekend) allows for single ply supportive suits and knee wraps.
