Oh, and Harry was the ONLY guy I could see myself married to of all the men, lol. I liked him. At least he had personality.
Steve. While, I finally warmed up to him at the end of the movie, I just couldn't understand why they cast such s goofy, unattractive guy for Miranda.
Abd font get me started on Petrovsky. He was the absolute WORST! So unbelievable that Carrie would fall for him.
Yes. Steve was one (uncomfortable) thing, but Petrovsky was PAINFUL to watch. Just. Fucking.Ewwww. He's not unattractive at all, but his character was just horrible. I really hated most of the male characters. I wish they had more.... desirable male roles.

Agreed!
Although, I will admit that I had a huge crush on Burger, even though they weren't meant for each other.

Well, Burger was fucking HOT. I loved him. Then I hated him after his SATC character (sticky note, right??)
My favorite guy from the series has to be Aiden. He was so good to Carrie.
Everyone I know seems to LOVE Aiden (I had a friend who named her son after this character, LOL!) but he was icky to me! I don't know, I didn't like him. Blech. He just didn't do it for me, I guess.
I got to the part in the movie where Samantha shows up at Charlotte's baby shower/celebration, she's got her dog, and everyone is like ZOMG your stomach is all big, how could you not notice your weight gain?? I'm throwing MAJOR side eye at that, she looked amazing! Hell they'd crucify me. Lol
I will defend this show to the end because it's ultimately about relationships with friends. Not men, although men were a large part (heheheh). That's what made it special.
I was just thinking about re watching again. It is one of the few shows that I can watch the entire series repeatedly and still love it.
(Let's not talk about the movies, especially the second one.)
The second movie was embarrassing and dismal, but I don't understand hatred of the first one. It was delightful - almost perfect as a coda to these characters.
Oh don't get me wrong, in spite of not loving everything they did with it, I still own the first movie and continue to watch it after the final episode. Lol. And even after movie #2, I would still watch a third movie if they ever made one.
Watching this show is comforting to me. Could be I identified at the time with some of it or I love the friendship between the 4 or it brings me back to a certain period in my life.
Some of the shows moments are so funny (bozo the bush) or touching (when Big leaves for Paris, when Miranda is lighting Brady's cake with Steve in the laundry room). That is good acting to me.
Hated the clothes though. Carrie usually looked ridiculous, despite the shoes.
