our latest predictions are 24 to 30 inches. Chances are that dh and ds will be home on Tuesday. I've only been at my job for six months so I am not sure how they handle big storms, I could end up going in.
"Why would you ruin perfectly good peanuts by adding candy corn? That's like saying hey, I have these awesome nachos, guess I better add some dryer lint." - Nonny
I guess. I imagine we'll be off tomorrow and Tuesday. I'm hoping DH will be home (if the trains don't run, he'll be home) and that we don't lose power. I didn't stock up on anything bc I can walk to a store if I need to and we luckily have neighborhood friends who are walkable so bring it on!
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
We had spent New Year's Eve in NYC and were just trying to get home but they cancelled all the flights obviously. We were stuck in a Best Western in Queens. It was like Goodfellas in there.
I risked my life to go to the food store so that H could take my car to work tomorrow (AWD)...get home and he has the stomach bug. I mean, we would have needed ginger ale and pretzels anyway, but I could have gotten those at Rite Aid.
We have one bathroom. Pray for me.
Liking cause you're funny, not because you both are going to suffer a lot. Prayers and Godspeed.

Boston is getting 20-24".
Harvey Leonard is quivering with excitement. French Toast Alert System is at Severe
Severe- Nor'easter predicted. This is it, people, THE BIG ONE. Harvey Leonard makes repeated references to the Blizzard of '78. RUSH to emergency supermarket NOW for multiple gallons of milk, cartons of eggs and loaves of bread. IGNORE cries of little old lady you've just trampled in mad rush to get last gallon of milk. Place pets in basement for use as emergency food supply if needed.

I was asking all last week for a giant snow. I have also been lamenting lately that weather prediction has gotten so much better there are no surprise snow storms.
NYC here, they're predicting 20-30 inches. Ugh! Coming home from work tomorrow will be a nightmare as will Tuesday's commute. I hate driving in this shit. My job will not pay us if we don't show....assholes.
I won't be in the thick of it, but will still be affected by it. 8-12" might get me a day off of work, which I am deeply enthusiastic about. lol. I'm hoping we get more than that! I love big snowfalls.

I'm excited. We better get a lot.
Me too! I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve right now!

He feels better (said tentatively). I'm handwashing, avoiding him, and praying for mercy.
H is still talking about going to New York tomorrow like a dummy. His train back to Boston is scheduled at 12:30am Tuesday morning, right at the worst of the storm. Going right up the blizzard path. He is so delusional if he thinks for a second that there will be any mode of public transportation available for the next three days. He's on the phone now debating with a colleague about whether he should go. WHY is this even a question.
How badly do you think septa will suck tomorrow? Ughhhh.
Like ProFart said, worse than usual. If you're in Manayunk/Roxborough, they'll probably stop running buses early. Only the sub will be reliable. I ran out to Rite Aid at quarter of eight and it had started raining, so I guess it's here?
Eagles I'm praying for your soul. You wouldn't happen to have 100% grape juice on hand would you? I read about how it can help stave off a stomach bug and thought it was a load of crap, but then I googled and people far and wide claim it works. L had a bug last weekend and H and I both chugged grape juice like Welch's was paying us, and neither of us got it.
