Adam Joseph is making a bold prediction of 1-3" for Philly based on the latest models, and that the storm will bust. He's getting snippy with people who question him. It's going viral on the other sites. He better pray for a bust or he'll never live it down, a la J Bo and the storm of the century.

Lol, he's pulling the "I have a meteorology degree!" card.
Did you see the thread where he challenged the person listening to the NWS prediction of 12-24 to "prove it with science"? Someone replied, "I guess the NWS applies zero science, esp. since they hire their people for how they look in tight clothing and care solely about ratings...oh wait..."
Do any Philly/Jersey people follow Eastern PA Weather Authority? They were spot on all last winter with only one exception (it was a tricky system toward the end of the season). Epawaweather.com.
H is still talking about going to New York tomorrow like a dummy. His train back to Boston is scheduled at 12:30am Tuesday morning, right at the worst of the storm. Going right up the blizzard path. He is so delusional if he thinks for a second that a) the game he is scouting will not be cancelled, and b) there will be any mode of public transportation available for the next three days. He's on the phone now debating with a colleague about whether he should go. WHY is this even a question.
He really can't reschedule? Anyone who is able will be WFH on Tuesday if this thing goes as expected. Going into the NYC office may be pointless.
Local weather people. John Bolaris was the man for years, then he majorly blew a forecast in the early 00s and left town in disgrace. He predicted a blizzard and we got nothing. Schools were closed, state of emergency, all for naught.
The NAM took away all our snow. GFS on deck, Euro later tonight.
Wait, seriously?
Yes, I think that is where AJ is getting his prediction. Others say it is a junk run and to ignore. Time will tell. GFS is out in minutes and the big run is Euro at 1:30 AM. If they agree, boo, if not, game on.

Well, whatever is going to happen will. I've got what I need so I'm ready no matter what.
I'm in Roxborough (close to Manayunk so we have some very hilly streets) and I'm nervous. This is our first winter here and I have no idea what to expect.

For the first tie in years, my school has already called an early dismissal for tomorrow. We just got 8 inches this weekend and I keep getting conflicted forecasts for tomorrow.
I'm in Roxborough (close to Manayunk so we have some very hilly streets) and I'm nervous. This is our first winter here and I have no idea what to expect.
Oh jeez. T&P
Yes, the Euro is most accurate.
I lived in Manayunk and Roxborough for 3+ years. Where is your house? Is is on a bus route? Is it a major thoroughfare? Wide enough for a plow to get down?
I lived on Roxborough Ave (always plowed before the sun came up) and a smaller street down by Cresson which was NEVER plowed, salted, NOTHING. People would be getting stuck on the ice weeks later when things refroze at night

It's not as bad as when it's icy, but on some of those hills you can't get much traction. I dated a guy who lived between Ridge Ave and Main Street and don't remember having problems.

I live on a small street three blocks down from Ridge and a block up from Manayunk Avenue. The street we use to get to Ridge Avenue is Markle, which is hit or miss.

I, for one, will certainly be WFH Tuesday and would appreciate his company. I'm selfish.
