We gave DS pasta with red sauce last night for dinner. H and I both forgot to wipe off the tray, so extra sauce was on the tray for about 16 hours before I noticed it, and now there's a stain. I washed the tray and used some natural cleaner I have, but the stain is still there.
Does anyone have tried and true stain removal methods? I would prefer to stay away from bleach, since he eats off of the tray sometimes.
I'd bleach it. It won't hurt him. Obviously you will rinse it off. He won't be exposed to any more chlorine than he would if he dunked his face in a pool.

A magic eraser might help as well
bab comes in w the bleach. That might help. I like vinegar as well
And sunshine even purifies water in some countries (w a system rugged up). I think the stain just fades with time and cleaning if you don't find it happening now. And I tend to live w stains from kids. And from me.
Not natural but I've used an abrasive cleaner like Comet and scoured it with an abrasive cleaning pad and water. I'd also try baking soda and lemon juice in a paste if you really want a natural fix.

Eh, I don't have kids but I think OP is saying it's the high chair tray table that is stained, that would bug me too. Especially if it's always out and in view.
OP - like PP said white vinegar and the sun will work wonders if it's white.

Bleach really is okay. They put bleach in the water to kill microorganisms. In fact, when taking certified emergency response team training, we were told that if the water in your emergency supply is more than two years old, you should add two drops of bleach pet gallon to purify it before using.
Am I the only one who figures, I have a kid. I can live with stained plastic containers.
I just had this conversation this weekend, and it wasn't even in relation to the kids. All it does is good food temporarily. It's okay if it's stained in my world. But I do get wanting the tray to be stainless.

It'll come out over time. We eat a lot of red sauce and the stain is usually out by the next meal (usually dinner the next night). I leave it on a dish drainer by a window that's partially open so the sun helps.
