Doing nothing to prepare except crying because our big evaluation for V will be canceled. You'll be okay! I think it's going to be bad Monday night into Tuesday.
They are saying Boston maybe 3 feet?! I mean holy cannoli!!!
I heard only 20" up here, that's a lot but not insanity.
Stock your fridge, hope the power doesn't go out and plan some fun activities for when you are snowed in. As long as we don't lose power it will be fine.
Also, it isn't supposed to get bad until the Monday night commute so at 1 in NY he should be fine. He'll hit some traffic of people leaving work early but I'm sure it won't be a big deal.
We're going to get pummeled, but it won't be world ending, no:) To prepare I always make sure the house is stocked with groceries and other necessities. I also make sure I wash all the laundry in the event we loose power so we have all our clothes and towels if need be. Your husband is a first responder, you guys will be all set:)
imimahoney my H is having an invasive heart test procedure tomorrow so I will be the one driving him home from the hospital. With the kids. So essentially with 3 kids. In a snow storm. No fun!

I don't think around 1 will be bad weather wise. Might be a pain with traffic but even if the snow has started it won't get really bad until later.
I think I'm screwed here in Boston. We are housebound at minimum Tuesday and Wednesday. I have a big meeting Wednesday morning that I don't know how ill work around.
It's supposed to start snowing at 6am here and the blizzard picks up around 1pm. *gulp* I hope they are wrong. I don't really like driving to begin with much less in snow with an incapacitated husband.

Oh no! Any chance of taking the train instead...or is that way worse?
I hope it goes smoothly! xoxo
The train doesn't go to the hospital and I'm not sure, but I don't think he would be allowed to do something like that. They are putting a catheter in his groin vein and threading it up to his heart for this test. Then they will manipulate his heart to reproduce an arrhythmia. It's kind of like mini surgery. Recovery is 5ish hours. It's kind of a biggish deal....
Its not supposed to start to snow until 4 here and then get blizzard like at 10pm- Wednesday morning. Tuesday is supposed to be really bad. We have done nothing really. I did just ask H to pick up some batteries on his way home but we don't really have an emergency kit and we have never lost power here. WE are in a condo and not a SFH so that might make a difference.
I think you should be okay if test is done by 1pm lolaburns. I hope it goes well.
I'm actually kind of worried about getting to work in this. DH is not super comfortable driving, and I'm not comfortable walking up and down that hill alone with J. I'm going to go in tomorrow and talk to my boss about Tuesday, since that seems to be the worst day for us.
