It is practically morning and I have not gotten my body warm enough to sleep yet. I'm in my -10* sleeping bag and shivering like a cartoon character. Blah.
Naturally, H left for the US yesterday and I have an important meeting tomorrow that took weeks to get on people's calendars.
We don't have heat, so the indoor temperature is like 60*. Not helpful.
I am dreading having to get out of my sleeping bag to take DD to daycare tomorrow, but I definitely can't manage her at home.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I wish we could somehow send you hot soup, helping hands, and a space heater! I'm so sorry Brit. Do you have a doc you can see soon? Pneumonia is nothing to mess with. hope you can make it through your meeting and you are well soon.
Oh my gosh! Here I've been sorry for myself because H is out of town and I've had a cold! I wish I could come take your DD for a few days so you could rest. How miserable . Really hoping you feel a bit better in the morning.
I went to the doctor this morning. He took my blood, did chest x-rays, declared that I had an 'acute lower respiratory sickness' and sent me home with three different medicines (an antibiotic and two dubious sounding herbal 'elixirs' - primula root and thyme extract). I will probably skip the herbal stuff.
Minus the antibiotic, that was four hours down the drain.
I finally have my temperature in check which makes me feel a lot less bad.
It was a bummer that he didn't issue me a doctor note after all that. The law in the UAE is that I have to present a doctor note if I take two or more consecutive sick days, so I guess I'm dragging my tail to work tomorrow no matter how bad I feel.
That doesn't sound like a very good visit, but hopefully your body will respond to the antibiotics. Did he say why he wouldn't give you a doctor note? Boo.
