Lots of cleaning and organizing here. I finished washing the ceilings, and DH is scrubbing the oven. We're getting so much done, since I have a ton of family visiting in a couple weeks. Given the crazy storm predictions, I am so glad we left NY. I was out doing yard work today without even a jacket.
Procrastinating doing my billing. Too bad this annoying chore is the only way I can actually get money into my bank account!
ETA: I reaaaally want to procrastinate because I think I'm going to have 2 days off with this storm. DH is convinced Monday will be normal with Tuesday off. I'm kinda glad he's being optimistic because if not I would definitely not to it until tomorrow.
My very best friend just posted some anti-vaxx bullshit on her Facebook wall.
I love her so much. I don't know what to do.
Hey guys, did you know Measles isn't really THAT big of a deal? More people die from the flu! And cod liver oil can totally stop you from getting them!
I replied "Fun fact, Measles can cause blindness!"
Ugh! I can't let my kiddo plays with hers, can I?
Are your kids vaccinated? If so, I'd still let them play with hers. But, I'd find it tough to hang out with someone I thought was an idiot so our kids could play together...
audette Her husband is a chiropractor. I think that's where it stems from. Her brother and mother are pharmacists. She was a pharm tech. She IS smart. Just...poorly misguided?
Perhaps I was a bit harsh, but I'm really, _really_ pro-vaccination. Add in that she is spreading misinformation about measles, well, that's more than just willful ignorance. Hopefully she never has to learn how potentially risky her behavior is to her family.
(I'm also in a _really_ bitchy mood right now, so it's probably coming across in my phrasing...)
audette - it's always a giant goal fest! I'm hating the ecto cooler green jerseys.
I'm hating MH for going to CA right before we are supposed to get slammed with an epic crapton of snow.
I took dogger to the park to walk/play with her buddies then came home ate lunch and we both took naps. I found Mr. believers on some random channel made dinner and really haven't moved off the couch much today. I worked on some knitting, but it's been a super chill day.
these pave drops and pave studs are on their way. CZ is totally ok when it's 3.48 ct, right? because we don't have $20k for a pair of earrings lol.
these badgley mischkas are on their way in blush. I'm also keeping an eye out for the light blue or these baby pink kate spades to become available in my size. these pumps look comfy but maybe not as fun.

you might notice that none of the shoes are over 3.5". I have a pretty low tolerance for high heels and don't want miserable feet.
I am obsessed with the badgley mischka pearsons, so I hope they are comfy!!! I have no tolerance for uncomfortable footwear, the ones in my avatar are SUPER comfy, despite being high. It's all about the fit & size, so I am praying yours work out well!!!!!!
PS: I love the wedding shoe hunt, so fun!
PPS: I hate to say it...but I will....those Stuarts are ugly as sin. </3 I am 100% confident you can find cute shoes that are comfy for your wedding. A bride I know selected flats that are gorgeous, and gorgeous flats > not so gorg heels.

I value your honesty.
trying to stay under $300 for the shoes since I underestimated the stationary budget - if you have any comfy and cute recs in that range I'd love them! fingers crossed for the pearson pumps though!
We bummed around at home all day, and then went to the supermarket for a few little snacks and random things for the mega-storm tomorrow/Tuesday. The store was packed (and the bread and milk sections looked like a bomb had hit) but we zipped right out thanks to the 10 Items or Less line.
I bet they'll dismiss work early tomorrow, since the really bad snow is supposed to hit in the afternoon. I'm hoping that MH also gets dismissed early ... during a big snowstorm last year, his normal 30 commute took (no joke) 8 hours. I told him to take a change of clothes and something to eat, and either stay at his dad's house or go to our friends' house along his commute in case things are bad.

Yes, the flats were right around 250/300, from Nordies! Let me dig them up, but they weren't a designer I knew of, they were crystal encrusted and SO beautiful in person.

tacom, are you wearing both pairs of earrings or are you choosing? I ask because I wore a pair of studs that I "thought" were big enough and they were non existent in pictures. So when in doubt, more bling!
We are just chilling out after coming from the the DR last night at 1am. They are delivering our lost bags tonight, so that's something. DH is still pissed and I want to intercept the poor baggage guy who comes to the door before DH gives him an earful. Tomorrow I'm working from home and then heading back to LA for the rest of the week, so I'm glad for one more day at home!
We will probably keep binge watching Walking Dead later tonight.
Also not wedding related but I lost my diva cup (??) and am stuck with tampons until the replacement arrives Tuesday. Not happy!
I have been forever swayed. Menstrual cups are the way to go.
Might be a dumb question but how does one lose this sort of thing? I'm hoping nobody finds it.....
excellent question.
I brought it home from Christmas travel, boiled it, then left it in the window to air dry.
the last thing I remember is "hiding" it before our friends came over. it was new to me, so I didn't have a dedicated spot for it yet in the apartment. I apparently hid it too well. FI and I searched everywhere.

hmm, my hair is dark and will be up, so they should be visible given the contrast but I'll keep it in mind. thanks!

Oh no..those Stuarts are no bueno in comparison to the others you linked. I do love the others though - I hope one of them works out for you!
