41w with both. I was not sane. I was still working, but was a complete bitch. I cried a lot. I was not pretty when they called an hour before I needed to be at the hospital for my induction to tell me that they had no beds because so many women had gone into labor (on their own). Screw you, hospital personnel, for making me feel bad about my clamped closed cervix over the phone.
Thanks all. I'll try to be a bit hedonistic these next few days. I'm still working but my boss is like "take it easy!" and hasn't assigned me any new work in weeks. Plus I'm WFH so it's pretty dull.
Tomorrow I'll make a pedicure appt, maybe massage too. That'll do it, right?
I was induced three days past my due date. Our house was clean and everything was ready, so we spent the weekend before relaxing and sleeping in. I worked on Monday and a half day on Tuesday, then came home and took a nap before going to my dr appt and finding out I was getting induced the next day. I came home, finished up some last minute packing, and went to bed early.

And own it when people ask you when you are due. 4 days ago is the best answer. Enjoy the reactions.

Induced at 10 days past EDD, DD born 2 days later.
It sucked. I could not work past my EDD so that didn't help. I just walked a lot but clearly that didn't help. But in hindsight, it was but a very brief time.

DD was 9 days late.... I worked until my due date and then shopped, cleaned. organized, shopped, cleaned, organized ... lol!
I was so mad... I had an ultrasound at 41 weeks to determine fluid levels, baby position ect. to prepare for induction... and baby was breech! I was so mad, all the drs prior thought she was head down... turns out i could have had a c section 2 weeks earlier than i did!

They've not checked her position via ultrasound, just poking around my belly and saying she's head down.

I was a week late with both of mine. 7 days with DD1 (induced), and 6 days with DD2 (not induced).
I about lost my mind the first time! The second time I would have been screwed if she'd come on time because I just assumed she'd be late like her sister -- we had the flooring in half of our house completely ripped out and replaced, and they didn't even finish until my due date! I was lucky she did end up being late!
With DD1 everyone kept telling me to "enjoy my last few days of freedom/sleep/time to myself, etc," and I just wanted to scream at them! So I won't tell you that :-). Good luck -- the baby will be here before you know it!!

Oh! I forgot the best thing about being overdue -- scaring people :-). I got great (perverse) pleasure in telling people I was overdue. People would eye my hugely pregnant self and ask when my due date was. I'd cheerfully tell them "last week!" and watch them freak out and start wondering how they could help deliver a baby since I was clearly about to give birth right there in front of them.

I love this reaction. One woman in the grocery store on Saturday asked when I was due and I was like "oh last wednesday!"

This is what people keep telling me and while I appreciate it, I'm ready to be a mom and have my baby. I've slept in and gone out to dinner enough!
I was overdue with all three of mine (10, 7, and 5 days, respectively). With my first, I was fine until I hit 41 weeks, and I remember it being so disheartening. But by then the talk of induction had started, and obviously I knew I wouldn't actually be pregnant forever. With all three of mine, I worked up until the end, so that helped keep me from dwelling on the wait too much.

Ha! I ran a turkey trot three days after my due date with my oldest, and I got a kick out of telling people that my due date WAS the past Monday. And she still took another week after that!
I was only 2 days late, so I barely count, but I still felt great. I took everyone's advice and did all of the things I knew I wouldn't be able to do as easily once baby arrived. Went out to decent meals, went to a movie, just wandered around stores browsing, got a mani/pedi on my due date, got a hair cut, etc. I was in no rush to have the baby. When people asked if I was getting anxious, I was like, "I'm happy/healthy, he's happy/healthy, and I'm getting time to myself that I won't get for a long time. He can stay for another week or two." My only problem was that I was worried my water would break while I was out doing something fun. (It didn't. I had serious contractions for almost 24 hours before my water finally broke.)

I was induced at 41w1d. It was the holidays, and I'd stopped working already. But I'd done everything early in anticipation of having a newborn at Christmas, so I was bored and annoyed and walked a lot and showed up at gatherings ginormously pregnant while everyone wondered what was taking so long. I should've relaxed more.

I was 13 or 15 days late (LMP or O date) before I was induced. Looking back, I don't remember too much, but I know I walked a lot, got a pedi, and tried most possible ways to induce labor (spoiler -nothing worked). Really, I just remember being physically uncomfortable, crying a lot, and just being generally miserable. I also avoided talking to most friends/family because I didn't want to talk about how I was feeling and the fact that I didn't have a baby yet. It was not fun, so hopefully you don't go that late!
Late with both kids. With my first, I made date night plans with the hubby every night, since it was going to be our last time as just us. So that gave me something to look forward to if I didn't go into labor all day.
with my second the knowledge of how much more work baby is outside than in kept me sane.
both time I worked until I delivered.
funny story, we were eating out on a Sunday night and our very young waitress asked when I was due. I answered " Tuesday"
she he looked at me funny and said that's just a few days from now
11 miserable August days. I had an induction scheduled that day, but ended up kicking off labor with acupuncture.
I waddled around Target, did all the shit that's supposed to start labor, snapped at anyone who said, "Have you had that baby yet?", and generally made my H's life miserable.

I had DD at 41+6 after being induced at 41+5. I worked up until the end of the 41st week when the NSTs and BPPs had me out of work about half the time. Waking up in the morning and still being pregnant was the hardest for me. I had heard so many stories of women's labor starting at night or being woken up by contractions so I was convinced that this was going to be my experience. Unfortunately, DD was poorly positioned and had a huge head, so she never dropped enough to put pressure on my cervix and cause contractions. Even on the highest dose of pitocin, I never had contractions on my own.

Yes this was always hilarious! The day after my due date with ds2 we went to an airshow and had to walk a kilometer from where we parked to the tarmac. The military police at the gate chatted with ds1 then asked "so when's the next one coming?" . I said "yesterday!". His eyes got all big and he proceeded to give us precise instructions on where the ambulance was parked
I was a week overdue with number two, and had the worst cold/sinus infection I ever had that week. I stayed sane by sleeping as much as humanly possible to try and pretend I wasn't sick. I could not wait to go into labor.
