(Best comparison- our 4th of July except different) Our kids became dual aussie and american citizens this past Friday so this was their first Australia Day as official Australians. We spent most of at the beach. And this weekend both of them worked on paddle boarding in the backyard. I also got to go for a longer trek on the paddle board and we took it "waterskiing" behind the house boat. Riding it that way was ridiculously fun.
J had his first canoe ride and did well. We catch and eat a lot of crabs. School starts this week for c. Summer vacation for kiddos is ending.

My kid saw a bunch of people at our park having picnics so he plonked himself down and demanded we have a picnic lol He settled for sharing some Tiny Teddies on a park bench in the end.
Do you live here or are you just visiting tdk2? Your kids are adorable!
5 months, snips. End of March we head back. Jeno- lol, that photo cracks me up. Where do you live? we usually come over a few months at a time every other year. Dh is from oz, so tons of family here. ILs live on the far north coast of nsw so that's where we are. We'll do a few trips to the goldy, brissie, lismore, coff's but mainly staying around home this trip. (We did tons of travel here before kids, even lived in a Kombi for a year and drove the whole way around)

Nice, that sounds like a good length of time to visit.
I am in Melbourne, but my work has a property just outside of Lismore so I have spent a bit of time up there, it's beautiful I love staying at Kingscliff, it's nice and quiet.
I love that your little boy is sporting the Acca Dacca shirt! Happy Australia Day to your family. We spent this weekend at the beach too. I boogie-boarded for the first time and we ate meat pies for lunch today on the way back from our short holiday. We went on a bush walk this morning too. I felt like we did Australia Day properly.
