Nerdy question: How do they verify that the equipment is safe? I love the idea, but I would be worried that I was the unlucky kid who came crashing to the ground after an equipment failure.

My BFF who is the most paranoid person in the world, has done silks there for over a year, so I figure it's safe
There are also crash pads underneath and the hoop is really not that high off the ground.

I've done a few pole classes, just intro.
So much fun but yea...I need to work on upper body + core strength! Apparently I also need to work on my booty pop, but that's a whole different story...

I've done pole at 4 different studios here and in Cape Town and all the studios had the poles that are bolted in to the ceiling. It's not like they have the mobile poles that some people have in their homes or that travel with them.
Unless there was a serious malfunction with the ceiling, I'd think it'd be pretty impossible for there to be an equipment failure.
