Do you practice the tradition of the Easter bunny bringing the Easter basket? D is still young, but it never occurred to me to practice this tradition. We will buy candy. She will take her basket to daycare or grandparents to hunt for eggs. ILs will make her a basket. I don't think we have actually ever made her a basket.

There is an Easter basket waiting for DS in the morning, but we don't plan on making a big deal about the Easter Bunny. For some reason I find it weirder than Santa. We're not religious at all so it's more of a "Happy Spring!" celebration.
DD will have an Easter basket ready for her when she wakes up. We also do an egg hunt and egg cracking contest every year. I don't think we'll make a big deal about the Easter bunny though.
This is not even something we've thought of. Maybe? DS is only 18 months so I think we don't need to decide this hear. We aren't at all religious so there will be no discussion of Jesus rising again or anything re: Easter. However we did get a pic of DS with the Easter Bunny last year...

Easter has been my favorite since college. It is the one holiday I wasn't expected home for so I celebrated it with my friends. We usually went on a hiking trip that involved sledding back down at the end.
Although Easter has great religious significance that I understand and respect, I choose to celebrate it as a secular almost pagan holiday. It is in its purest form the celebration of the renewal of life that happens in Springtime. Bunnies fit perfectly in this mindset and of course they bring baskets, why wouldn't they?
(I mean no disrespect to anyone who is Christian.)

Yes the easter basket brings baskets. The girls have birthdays less then 2 months before Christmas so I use Easter as a way to get them new books, bubbles, chalk, books, etc. I get them a decent amount including one "bigger" item because that's basically it for 6 more months.

I'm Catholic and we're raising the girls Catholic so we also talk about Jesus a lot as well (this is the first year DD1 is really understanding which is cool). My parents did both Jesus and the Easter bunny growing up.

Birthdays late in the year (Oct and Dec) are a big reason we do Easter, too.
