I chose the D&C. It was a relatively simple procedure that got things over with much quicker. It was what I needed to begin healing emotionally.
Be kind to yourself. Take the time you need to grieve and cling to the people around you who love you. Even if they don't fully understand what you are going through, they will love on you if you open up to them. (((hugs)))

I'm so sorry for your loss I've had two mm/c, the first I had a D&C and the second was a natural m/c (I had already started bleeding and it progressed quickly). If I were faced with the decision again I'm not sure what I would do. D&C allows you to get it over with quickly (although not in my case as it was a week later...this was the earliest I could get in) and is physically really easy. For me, naturally provided closure that the D&C did not since I was able to bury the baby, etc...but it was very painful and I'm not sure I would go this route if the process had not already started (the wondering "when" it will start would drive me nuts).
So many ((hugs)) and prayers for healing. Sorry you are going through this.

I'm so sorry. When this happened to me I chose the D&C. I just wanted it over as soon as possible. Physically, it wasn't so bad and recovery was okay. Emotionally was a whole different story. Be kind to yourself.
And thanks. I had very bleeding on new years with spotting. Progesterone was low, but hcg was fine. I just didn't feel right, so this is not a total surprise and I had almost a month to brace for it.
Since I was saving my vacation for maternity leave, I said I was taking D to Disney if I miscarriaged. She is going to love it.

I'm so sorry The same thing happened to us, no heartbeat.
I wanted to try a normal mc and my doctor told me the absolute max to wait was a month. That whole month I waited and waited for something to happen but it never did. I was still having morning sickness and feeling pregnant. In the end, I had the D&C and wish I would have done that right away. It was quick and recovery was minimal. It also helped us both with closure.

I'm so sorry. I did both and while the d&c was fine, it is surgery and there is more involved and it was not free like the meds. The medicine worked well for me but I know that is not everyone's experience.
