...did you have to slowly introduce, or did you switch brands, or what?
DS is 5mo. My BM stash is almost gonr, so I'll be sending some formula to daycare and maybe some at night as well. My supply is currently even worse than usual due to illness, and he was melting down after trying to nurse, so I figured formula was faster than thawing frozen milk. Welllll he's not a fan. Took a couple of gulps and then spit out the bottle. Additional attempts featured spitting out the mouthful he got conned into taking. He's not sensitive in general -- he gobbles up even cold breastmilk and loved cold pedialyte. I assumed warm formula would be nbd. Blah.
I'm trying to figure out if I should introduce more slowly or order different brands. I have maybe 2 weeks tops to figure it out.
What brand/type did you give him? It might be good to try a different type. Maybe buy a small can of a different type so you aren't wasting a ton if he ends up not liking it too.
Did you give it to him? Maybe have someone else do it since he can probably smell you and would rather have BM. See if that helps.
I did. That wasn't an issue with breastmilk bottles or pedialyte so I didn't consider that. Formula might be a bigger hurdle, though. I'll have dh try tomorrow.
