Guys. I have been sick since before Christmas. Just when I think I have beat the bug... it comes back with a vengeance. I want my mom. And my old immune system. And cold medicine.

Work is cancelled again tomorrow. Snowed in for two days. Help me.
We just got a call for a delayed opening. I hope it stays that way. Good luck trying not to go stir crazy!
And her toe isn't really red anymore, but the indentation is still majorly there. She has her 9 month appointment on Thursday, so I will have her pediatrician look at it. Thanks for asking!
A child at Colin's school has pinworms so they sent letters home. I google it.
"If your child has a pinworm infection, you can see worms in the anal region, especially if you look about 2 to 3 hours after your child has fallen asleep."

My stomach is turning. They sent home their nap blanketto wash and just threw everything in the wash from his lunchbox to his backpack. I feel the need to clean heavily.
The rehab doctor really relieved a lot of my worries concerning Emerson's behavior and what is normal 2 year behavior/ what is her traumatic brain injury. She did a bunch of evals and Em is in the 27-30 month range for language, 25-36 month for cognitive/visual, 24-30 range for fine motor, and 24-30 month for gross motor! So that means some of her behavior is more closer to a young 2 year old, but she is definitely improving and understand things like cause and effect. I can't tell you all how much of a relief it was to hear this! The rehab doctor was really impressed with Em's improvement.

Last night DH told me his boss put him in for a bonus for last year, and he got it, so he's going to be getting several hundred dollars! This is the first time he's gotten a bonus, and now DH is wondering if we should use the money and bite the bullet and go on the Disney vacation.
I just don't know, because we still might end up moving this year, so if we want to have any hope of buying a house, we need everything we can get.
I would bite the bullet and go to Disney. Memories are important and A is old enough to remember this for the rest of her life. This is $ you weren't counting on and as responsible as it would be to save.... it could be a sign to go!
That's what I thought, too. Of course, Abby's going no matter what, and Dh and I had talked about maybe planning a cheaper vacation next year. I was talking about Philly, with Sesame Place, Hershey, PA and Amish country nearby.
Why are cars so expensive?! We need a larger one when the new kid arrives and want a basic Subaru Forester, so nothing fancy and actually cheap for the size. We have a decent downpayment and it will still be $300 a month on a 5 year loan! I'm now glad we bought my Prius when I was still working.

I can tell you that as a kid I've been to all of these places including Disney and they were all magical to me. If doing the PA trip is more affordable, I think it can be just as fun and probably even a bit more relaxing.
I had the absolute worst vivid dream that we were going to foster a child about C's age that was neglected for three months. It was like they were giving is a tour of delorable conditions this poor child endured basically alone. It was heartbreaking and traumatizing. I need to stop reading the news before bed. I hope the day improves from here because I can't get it out of my mind.
It sounds like it's time to start thinking about the adoption process!
I would be traumatized by that dream also. It is so sad that there are kids out there who are neglected like that. Heartbreaking!

I'm scared! Apparently the exposed child was in school last week and it has since been treated. I vaguely remember Colin reaching in his diaper this weekend. He has a poppy now but my H is almost home and I'm leaving this for him.
Oliver and I will take a vacation while my H sorts it out, lol
It's so crazy that the weather is so intense up North and it was close to 80 degrees here today. It was lovely, but I hope we don't blow through to summer insanely quickly.
