Thank you so much everyone. The support here is amazing.
tators & Elsa I'm okay with things right now. I've got amazon prime and Netflix. Hospital has wifi. Luckily we only live about 10 mins from the hospital so H can run back and forth easily if necessary.

Lurker from CEP popping over to offer some support. My darling nephew was born last month at 32 weeks, and after a three week stay in the NICU he is home and doing amazingly. NICUs are incredible places (I was in awe when we visited), and they can do so much for preemies. Here's hoping your little one can stay put for a while longer!
Lots of hugs, as well as T&Ps. A friend at work went through something similar: water broke at 30 weeks and was put on full bedrest at the hospital. She had her baby boy at 33 wks and he did really well. He's more than caught up with his full term peers. Another two work friends and I all had preemies and we all had amazing experiences at the NICU. You're in good hands!

My water broke at 35 weeks with my older daughter. It was so scary so I can imagine how you're feeling at 31 weeks. I agree with the PPs. Care and technology is amazing for preemies and their mamas. NICU nurses have a special place in my heart.
Thinking of you and your little one! Hope Baby Gellar stays in for a few more weeks.

For reals.
Monica - You got steroids, so you should be good, regardless if he/she comes now or waits until 34 weeks.
DS was a surprise 34 weeker and he was taken super fast, so no steroids, and he camped out in the NICU for 3 weeks. He's a giant, today. A walking/talking bruiser of a kid.
My 29 weeker is 5 years old and my 32 weeker is 3 years old. It was a rough time at the beginning but it's how they were born and I look back at that time with fondness now.
