Words cannot describe how excited I am that my brother, his wife, and their 6 month old baby are coming to visit my home the weekend of the 21st.
I know the obvious answer is, "They just want to see you! You're fabulous!" Whatevs!
But what are some activities I could have ready for them when they get here? I'm used to dealing with my parents who just want to eat out and drink wine...and before my siblings had kids they just wanted....restraurants and booze.
Any ideas? I plan on having a breakfast casserole ready before they get here to pop in the oven one of the mornings...
I don't have much experience hosting, but what I'd do is plan out some meals for that weekend in advance and go grocery shopping for the ingredients and your guests' favorite snacks and wine. For activities...I don't know what you have in your area, but I'd try to come up with ideas for a baby-friendly outing. And then I'd rent a few movies and stock up on board/party games to play in the evenings after baby goes to sleep. Maybe one afternoon you could go shopping with your SIL while your brother and H watch the baby?
HoneySpider We DO! I need to look into some of the ones I saved on a pinterest board while looking for local date ideas. I know I've got some family friendly things nearby.

If the weather is nice, maybe some exploring outside? I don't want to out where you live, but maybe visit that plantation or one of the streets with lots of shops. Lunch or dinner somewhere family friendly. Any good local pizza places?
wanderingenough Yes, they have good family restaurants here. That would be good for dinner one night! I do plan on keeping them closer to the house verses "that large town nearby" but I think there are some good shopping places. We do have those outlets!
