If your kid is in a normal bed at home, what do you do when you travel? When we go to Mexico our room only has a king bed. I do not know if she would sleep with us or want her own space so I want to bring something along. I have looks at cots and blow up mattresses but idk what to use.
Ask the resort if the have cribs or cots or anything.
I forgot to mention I did, it's like $30 a night, all they have are twin beds, and were there 7 nights...so expensive. I think because they have "family" rooms with extra twin beds so they want you to use one of those instead, but they were $100 more a night.

Blow up mattresses are loud. And cots are weird so if you use that, try it at home for a while.
I say just put her in the bed with you rather than paying for the extra bag. Then if she doesn't like it, get a trundle and just suck up the cost. Trying a few nights in the bed with you will save you some money and maybe the nights you do rent a trundle would equal the extra bag + cost of the cot.

Both A&J slept on blow up mattresses at my MILs house in the same room as us with no issues. The had a taller ridge around the outside and naturally sunk in in the center so they couldn't roll off them.
We have the regalo cot which she refused to sleep on. Yay? Lol
Is it pretty big, do you think it will last a few more years?
Edie is 4 and sleeps in hers for daycare naps. She has some room left. But they can't roll over in it. Adeline has one but prefers to sleep on a blanket on the floor.

Hmm Ada rolls all over when she sleeps so maybe that won't work.

We have a regalo cot. The kids have also slept on blankets on the floor or in bed with me when we travel. P uses the cot all the time at home when she wakes in the middle of the night (it is next to our bed).
This may be a stupid suggestion, but would a PNP be too little for her now? Last summer, we still were putting B in the PNP when we went to the lake (weekends twice a month), and he's a big kid. It might not be ideal, but better than paying an extra $30/night.

I stole this idea (Thanks S!) and its awesome. I would take the cot anywhere with us and it will last him a few more years. And it is affordable!

Glad the cot worked for you! I know my sleep is much better now that P isn't tossing & turning next to me every night.
She usually just sleeps with us, at my mom's we have an air bed but she still crawls into bed with us at some point. She sleeps in her sleeping bag sometimes too could you do that?

She fits but won't sleep in it anymore for some reason.
We just got the Regalo cot and Owen did really well in it on Friday night. He did end up crawl into bed with us by morning, but stayed in most of the night.

Do they only have king size beds or do they have two queens or whatever? We typically get a room with two beds now, we will either split the kids or depending on how they are acting, they will sleep in the bed together.

I thought we had the option but when I booked it a single king bed was the only choice.
