Can you tell me what the ad is about so I don't have to google it?
It shows a puppy in a truck bed, getting bounced out, scared and sad and he finally finds his way home.
Then he's greeted by his breeder, who shows she's excited because she just sold him on the internet. She turns around and sticks him in a truck to go to his new forever home.
the fuck?! what in the hell is that supposed to advertise?
Ugh. I saw an article about this earlier today. Sometimes I'm amazed when companies, who I presume have large marketing departments with lots of people looking over and approving new material, put things like this out there. Did not one person think "hey, this is godawful?"
I think GoDaddy's marketing team sits in a dingy bar, objectifying women, and making up commercials after the 6th drink.
I only liked this because I think you're right...assholes

I've unfortunately seen it as several people in the rescue I work with have linked it on their Facebook pages, including tagging GoDaddy in videos of actual puppies sitting in LA shelters.
Saw the ad on the news this morning and it brought tears to my eyes. I volunteer in rescue and this ad is horrifying on so many levels. Breeders are such a problem in the first place but who in the advertising and business world thinks this ad is a good idea? It is appalling.

Also glad it's been pulled. Hope they get more negative attn than free-word-of-mouth advertising from this dipshit move. On a related note... Um, I was watching on The Today show, & they also played the Budweiser puppy commercial. You guys- I cried Humiliating crying, not just a single tear down the cheek. Those that haven't seen, be prepared!!
My coworker's husband works at GoDaddy. She was talking about this this morning. Apparently the employees are wondering WTF the marketing team was doing, and her husband thinks that the marketing manager's job should go.
I didn't see the ad, but it sounds like nobody was happy with it.
