If you are hourly do you get paid for the day off, like emergency pay? My old company used to do that if our stores were closed, I don't know if my new one does.

We only got about 5 inches here in central Jersey, so we are dug out and ready to return to business tomorrow...even if the plow hasn't come down our road yet.
Our office will be open tomorrow, but I'm sure a bunch of the lawyers will still work from home. I'll probably go in; it's easier to work at the office than at home. Plus, we've been given the OK to dress casually if we come in - leggings and big sweater, here I come!
I was off on Monday and daycare closed early. I am over the together time and look forward to what will likely be a very long commute tomorrow. I hope the drive through eastern ct is clear.

Is your daycare open tomorrow? Mine goes with the Mansfield Schools so it is closed.

Did you DH make it home fine last night?
Mine also goes with mansfield school district...do they go together lol?
The bar owner was very drunk and insisted they stay open until 1 am. He made his delivery drivers continue until 12am. He got home around 2:30. We have a dually pickup so he was ok. He drove everyone else home or to the hotel.

College is closed tomorrow. They can't get the buildings plowed out in time for afternoon classes. I got my car out. I really need to get out of this house tomorrow since I got sent home at 1 on Monday. I really hope the indoor play areas are open tomorrow. DS need to play.
We have greater than 2 feet. There are lots of drifts. We got the notice around 1pm that school will be closed tomorrow. In typical not useful fashion, the landscaping company shoveled/snowblowed our townhouse front doors which are completely out of the way and not connected by a cleared path to the parking lot. They did not clear the rear doors adjacent to the parking lot or make any attempt to plow large areas of empty parking spaces, just a straight path down the middle of the parking lot. So it was awesome getting out to shovel around our cars, 20 feet to the gate and then another 20 to what was actually cleared. History proves there is no use in complaining.
We got an email that the Y is open tomorrow at 9. I will be waiting in the parking lot at 8:45 to make sure DS gets a snow day spot. I'm aiming to go into work so I don't have to stalk the plow to move my car.
