Girl: Sophia Eleni. My grandmother was Sylvia (using the first letter, which is common in Judaism) and Eleni was H's grandmother's name.
Boy: First name Joseph, which was H's great uncle's name. H also likes Constantine, which is his uncle's name. If my grandfather is not alive when we have kids, I'd like to use Isaac.
names are so hard; i'm fickle. the boy name that i liked when i was pregnant was eli, and now i'm all meh about it. but L's name i still like. maybe because i like her. ha.
anyway, really glad that no one listed madison for a girl. not a bad sound or anything, but PLAYED OUT. if your daughter is named madison, i'm sorry. it's the only "normal" girl name that makes me itchy.

We've never come to an agreement for middle names of girls, so I will insert my own choices. for Girls Beatrix Lily Zoe Catherine Mara Isabelle
for Boys, we plan on using DH's middle name which is also his father's, on all of them. Ben Joel Noah Joel Theodore Joel and Jack Joel, even though I'm not a big fan of the combo, I love the first name enough that I'm down with it.
H likes the name Jack but our last name begins with a K so I don't think Jack works. He also asked if we could name a boy Enzo when our dog is Renzo...ummm....no. Our friends just had a baby name Elin and H said, "I have to cross that off my list now." (He said he was joking about the list when I asked him about it.)
I like classic simple names like Claire, Clara, Nora(h). For awhile I was stuck on Felicity and Beatrice but I'm not really stuck on them any more. For boys I also like classic and simple like Cole and Tate.
H was joking we could name a boy after our grandpas and have a Harold Belmer. Hah. I had a grandpa Everett which I think could be a cute middle name. I also think my maiden name could make an awesome middle name for a boy.
I suppose we have to decide first if we 100% want kid(s) before discussing names again. :-)
I have a friend who used Everett for a girl. She stuck an e on the end to make it more feminine and they call her Eve. Her full name is Everette Emily. I think it is so cute!
