I have a double OB appointment this morning. Ultrasound and bi-weekly check. Fingers crossed it goes well! This is the day my OB reviews my GD log, and decides if I'm doing well enough on my own, or if I need help. Help being drugs, weekly growth ultrasounds, NSTs, early birth intervention, etc. I really hope he's okay with my blood glucose levels!
I am sure it's coincidence, but after posting here yesterday and reading every page of TT, I was all set to ease back on feeding DD every time she peeps overnight.
She slept straight from 8pm to 5am so it wasn't even an issue. I gave her a bottle at 5am before I started getting ready and she went back down.
I know we are lucky to have made it 8 months but DS has his first cold He is just a little stuffy and has a runny nose but I still feel bad for him. It only really bothers him when laying down so I spent a good portion of the night holding him. Once my car is dug out I'll probably go to the drugstore to find some sort of snot sucking device.
Good luck, @supergreen! I always hated sugar log submission days.
My brother is coming home from his January term at school today and he's bringing his girlfriend. I LOVE HER and I want him to marry her and have babies with her ASAP because I feel like she and my brother would be very kindred parenting spirits with H and I. She's so good with N and she and my brother just work so well together, and I think she's really given him motivation to take school seriously and want to achieve more. My parents love her and my brother's twin sister adores her, which is like the ultimate test. Of course, they're only sophomores in college, so marriage should be far off in the future, if at all. Ack. But I really like her!
I am supposed to get both girls into the pedi today. I don't see how that will be possible. I dont think they are opening until this afternoon and it will be a mad house!
dude. it's the middle of the night (or it was when I got up around 3:45), but the world is ending in his little 11 month old brain. and I have a meeting with my boss this morning to basically decide if I'm going back to work or not. he always picks the very worst nights to refuse sleep.
Took today off work to rest, relax, and slowly clean the house for visitors who come after the baby is born.
The last week(s) of pregnancy is no joke, man. Everything makes me tired. After today I should be energized enough to make it through Thursday and Friday @ work.
I looked at my calendar this morning, ugh. Too many meetings.
I'm so tired, my neck is still hurting and I can only sleep in about 2 positions that don't hurt. Except one of those positions sometimes hurts my right hip, so basically my body is falling apart.
I'm trying to be nice to DH, but he still hasn't apologized for my birthday dinner AND he tried to play the victim card after I told him that this wasn't about him. So basically he needs to start groveling.
DD inadvertently kicked me in the eye while she was trying to show me her toes. I'm not sure if it was a plus or minus that I still have my glasses on, lol.
I'm debating about whether to call the OBs office today or just wait for my appointment tomorrow. Does anyone know if you can take prednisone while pregnant? I am 95% sure I have a pinched nerve and it sucks A LOT.
There are now measles cases in my area at the hospital down the street from my office. I am so angry at anti-vaxxers. I do not want to keep my kid in a bubble for the first year of his life.
sjh722 I don't think you can, but I'd call anyways.
Hmmm. That was what I suspected.
The other thing I've taken before has been Neurontin, which has warnings all over the package about DO NOT TAKE if you are pregnant, so I know that one is out. I already have flexeril and tylenol with codeine (which is only marginally better than regular tylenol). It hurt so much that I couldn't walk yesterday and was literally crawling around my house. It's just frustrating, they keep telling me "Yes, lots of people have back pain!" Which I know, but I also know enough to know that this is not normal.
I feel like crap. I have a headache that isn't staying away. I'll mention that to the doctor tomorrow.
I am really pissed though because evidently Babies R Us never actually ordered the chair I paid them for--9 weeks ago! So it's too late to get the same chair in time because the color is special order before the baby comes. The stock color is ivory. Meh. I ordered turquoise which I won't find anywhere, but I might find something grey that is equally comfortable.
I'm going to check other places around town today and decide what I want to do.

I saw this on the news yesterday! Chicagoland?
Measles scares me. It's so contagious. I have a note on my list of questions to ask if I should get my titers checked, just to make sure I'm not in the % of people who don't get immunity from the vax.

We are in the process of buying a new car and it is not a fun process. Even less fun though is being stuck at home all day without a car in the frigid winter while my H is at work. I'm starting to get cabin fever so we need to figure it out soon!

My daycare provider texted me last night that she sold her house and wont be doing daycare after May. DD was supposed to start mid-March. Fuck. I was so happy to find her and almost excited for DD to go there and now we have to decide what to do - put DD in until May then find someone else or find someone from day 1.
H has summers off so its only 6 weeks from May-June that we are needing someone. Then Sept onwards.

With my husband gone, it seems like the kids have been sleeping a little bit later in the morning. It's really nice.
I have to decide if I want to go to a line dancing class this morning. My mom goes and I've gone a couple weeks, but I'm just feeling lazy. Plus, line dancing is kind of lame, but it's good exercise and since it's just a casual thing they don't mind that I bring the kids.
I'm back in the office after four days at home, two of which I worked (tried) while I had one or all kids at home. Soooo glad to be here, lol!
I hope everyone's sick kiddos get better soon! DD1 seems to have caught what DD3 & 2 had just as DD3 is getting over it, yay, more coughing and stuffy, yucky noses!

How far along are you? I'm mobile and can't see tickers (if you have one). I may be super cautious but I'd call and mention it today. I was on hyper alert for pre-e and they always wanted me to call if I had a headache that wouldn't go away.

OMG. We were at the pedi on Monday and I asked if there were any cases in our area and she acted like I was super paranoid. I guess not!
