Yeah not so much. They had to insert the foley bulb catheter thing, which takes 12-24 hours to dilate you up to 5cm. Had some contractions last night and then they drugged me with ambien.
So no baby yet. But I did dream about nurses in wrestling costumes.

That foley bulb SUCKED. You have my sympathies. I took forever to dilate - I hope your cervix is much less of a slowpoke and you don't have to push for long!

36 hours and counting, still only 5cm at last check. They had to stop the pitocin for a few hours. Feeling so defeated.
I hope it goes much quicker from here, @sessalee!! And I hope you are able to get some rest. That is a long day and a half. I hope it's over before you know it and you are holding your baby girl in no time.

Don't be! My sister was stuck at 5, they stopped pit for a Half hour, let her rest, gave her some more sugar water, and 4 hours later she had her baby. The stopping and restarting revamped things.

This was the first thing I wanted to know this morning. I'm sorry it's taking so long! Hoping you're resting a little and she will be here soon!!
Don't feel bad! Inductions can take forever because they aren't like a naturally occurring labor. Hopefully you are able to move and labor around freely. If you can, squatting can really help the baby get into position.
