That foley bulb SUCKED. You have my sympathies. I took forever to dilate - I hope your cervix is much less of a slowpoke and you don't have to push for long!
36 hours and counting, still only 5cm at last check. They had to stop the pitocin for a few hours. Feeling so defeated.
If it makes you feel better, I was on pit for 24 hours and didn't even make it to 5cm! They broke my water when I was still 1cm and I had the kid less than 9 hours later.
I got stuck at 6. They had to up the pitotoci and it was torture. BUT at some point it worked and after a slow move to 7 (I think), I got to 9+ with just a "lip" much faster.
Pushing is actually easier in a weird way. It makes the contractions not hurt kind of. It's a "break" of sorts. When I was.too tired to push I went back to just feeling the contractions and that was worse. I was super discouraged about the slowness - I know how you feel. Take whatever pain manangement they allow and don't be hard on yourself . You will get there eventually! I so feel your pain here and I hope you get rest, relief and a new baby ASAP!
Pitocin is working, albeit slowly. I am not feeling any contractions at the moment due to epidural (magic... Simply magic) and have been able to nap off and on.
Spirits are up and down. It's hard but the baby is a total champ. Strong heart rate, she just doesn't want to get into her final position. She's sunny side up, though I think she's turning some.
I peed on my nurse earlier. Labor is not glamorous.

Stay tuned.
Your story sounds so much like mine, I can relate to many parts of this (but switch out nurse for doctor ha). I hope you continue to progress and have a great delivery! Rooting for you

Hang in there!
If it makes you feel better (or at least makes you laugh), this week I have:
1. vomited violently 15 times in a row, much of it through my nose 2. peed on the bathroom floor while vomiting 3. projectile vomited when I started coughing from the sinus/chest infection I have 4. peed on my couch, while coughing and gagging
Glad to hear baby is strong and doing well. You are a rock star, @sessalee!
