Ya know, BlueBayou, If you would like me to believe that you truly think that ALL lives matter, then maybe you could understand that cops need to stop killing the black ones because "oh noes, they're black?"
I get it can be hard to see a cop in a bad light. My uncle is an NYPD cop, and my husband is alive because cops literally broke the sunroof and pulled him out of a submerged car. I get it is hard to compare the stories of cops doing great and heroic things with the cops that have committed these atrocious acts. But you have to stop staring at your own colon on this issue and start paying attention to the real, deeply held systemic issues that plague police forces across the country where race relations are concerned.

And you know what? I wasn't fucking mean, inflammatory, my usual ragey self. I was mostly factual. I posted a snarky gif and then gave examples, facts, and logical commentary on the either/or. The worst I said was "balls," lol. Off the top of my head, I know bpo made a long post like that, and I'm sure others made serious posts. So all this "YOU'RE SPOUTING BULLSHIT!" talk is just smoke and mirrors, sleight of hand tricks to avoid having to answer to serious posts that evoke hard questions, you coward, BlueBayou.
Did that bitch really drop "race baiting"? Like, for really reals? And claim to be "all races" and call us little girls?
Heifer you had better thank the sweet 8 pound black baby Jesus you are talking your next level bullshit through a fucking computer because I cannot promise had you rolled up into my personal space with this nonsense I would not have reverted to my 19 year old clubbing days and somebody would be having to bail my ass out of jail.
As far as saying "anybody with a gun would be shot at?" Educate your chucklefuck self, before you start flapping your gums over shit you OBVIOUSLY have no idea about:

Wait, what cop exactly was nearly two feet shorter than the victim he shot? I mean there have been an awful lot of shootings of black folks lately so I'm clearly a bit confused.
Unless you're talking about how short 12 year old Tamir Rice was.
You know how people say the camera adds 10 pounds?

Apparently, as long as you don't swear and namecall while you insinuate that some people deserve to be executed without due process, you're being polite and civil.
lyssbobiss, Command, B613 do you know BlueBayou well? It seems she normally posts over on SO and I'm left to wonder if her flailing around in this thread is unusual.
Do you think her main board of Starting Over knows about the racism of this member?
She posts on S&B too. She makes me want to take another break.
On know you don't! You just came back and I am not letting you leave again. Instead, how about we ban bluebayou/everything bagel? And whoever the other racist one is over there that pissed you off too.

The other poster is viewed as very sweet over there. Which again, is part of the issue. All these sweet smiling S&Bers, I have no clue what each of them feel about topics that are so much more relevant than cute spring flats. I try to keep it in the mind frame of clothing and style. It just doesn't take precedence for me.
Black people are dying. Senselessly. We're being murdered and people bagels pull shit like this. It makes me uneasy. I'm not sure if the board is up for a deep discussion on race.
I don't really know the views of most of the S&B posters unless they post on MM or here. It makes me sad to think that there might be some closeted racists there. We pretty much never talk about anything deeper on that board, so I would have no idea.
Wow. So attempting to have a conversation is out aparently. all you want to do is attack me personally, as if you fucking know me, instead of a civil conversation/debate. If you can't handle a different viewpoint and have to insult someone you have alot more problems than your own lack of intelligence. I wouldn't discount anyone's experiences or beliefs simply because they didn't agree with mine. I was open to other viewpoints and didn't insult any of you. Clearly you guys can't even handle that. Go ahead little girls keep bashing me. It didn't do a damn thing to help your point. No wonder this divide exists. Because of things like this being personal instead of being able to have a civil discussion and educate each other. You really think you can help change the world/viewpoints by attempting to insult people? Tell me where I insulted any of you to deserve that ridiculous bullshit. The only ones who need lives are the those who can't handle a different viewpoint than theirs and have to attack persons who aren't on their bandwagon. Good luck on your bullshit cause that won't get heard due to immature ones who must attack without cause. All you all did was help prove ignorance is here to stay. Thank you all for the lesson and why I will continue not to support it. I actually thought there were some good points made until you marred it with the bullshit. Well done.
This right here says it all. If she thinks #blacklivesmatter is a bullshit cause, no amount of "civil conversation/debate" is going to change her racist way of thinking.
Say what now? So say I, a white woman... I don't know, speed and get pulled over. And refuse a breathalyzer. I should be executed? Or, say I shoplift a bracelet and am confronted by a police officer at a store entrance - and I run. I should be shot down? If I am walking around walmart with a toy gun while gabbing on a cell phone - do you think the police would be called? If they were and pointed a gun at me do you think I'd even register that they thought I was threatening anyone? After all I was walking around minding my own business doing... nothing.
Though to be fair I'm not bigger than a police officer as you mentioned. But then again neither was Tamir Rice who was 12 when cops killed him. He was also unarmed. And not a criminal. But he was black.
Yep, not about race at all. Sure thing.
And finally, without sarcasm - you know it's possible to feel confidence in the majority of law enforcement, while still recognizing that racial profiling is a real and damaging thing, right? You can respect and admire law enforcement and still recognize that there are individual members who racially profile, or practices that are counterproductive, divisive and hurtful to communities? It is not an all or nothing proposition. Pointing out that racism exists does not mean that all LEOs are racists.
Those examples of speeding/refusing a breathalyzer are not comparable. The examples you gave are not ones of active fighting or resisting police. Of course you would not deserve to be executed. Is there a case where someone was? I am not aware of one. The ones I am aware of involve persons who are actively fighting/resisting or have weapons or objects that are similar to weapons. But it would seem to me that if an officer gave you a lawful order, put the gun down or get out of the street, you would most likely comply. I would think. So if one refuses to put a gun down (toy or not) why should the officer have to wait to get shot to figure out if its real. The person should put IT down.
Tamar Rice was not unarmed. He was armed with a BB gun that looked just like a semi automatic pistol.
FYI--Ohio is an open carry state. The Supreme Court of the State of Ohio ruled a while ago that Cleveland can't ban it within the city limits or on city property. So had he been holding the semi-automatic weapon it looked like--completely legal.
There is a group of guys who routinely carry openly on city property in Cleveland with weapons that look a lot more scary than that just to prove the point that they can. None of them have been shot. But then again, they are all white.
Look, we have already established that black folks need to have freedom papers on all times. Just because it's 2015, that don't mean shit. It's still 1859.
As for BlueBayou's simple ass. I was going to say something, but MrsBpo already held that shit down, so it's snarky gif time.
I don't know WHY folks keep us coming up in threads like this here ...
Can someone please make up a rule book? As a white lady, I need to *know* what I should expect of anyone tainted with the faintest hint of melanin... so far we have:
1. Blah people should dress in khakis and carry nothing on their person other than, say, Starbucks -- preferably while not being male, and if female only with relaxed hair so that I can see at the opera 2. Brown people with that "Arab" look should carry a flag of Israel, drape themselves in a flag and proclaim their loyalty to the US and A whilst simultaneously denouncing terrorists all the time 3. Brown people with that "illegal" look should carry passports and framed photos of Geraldo Rivera on their persons at all times
I don't know all the details of any stories to decide who did what. But few people demanded the police officers involved should be hanged or shot or jailed. Most people just wanted a trial. It is black lives matter but it's also the fact that we live in a democracy with rules of law. Not coverups and crooked district attorneys. But I guess that goes back to blacklivesmatter.
A grand jury is a trial, It is just not a jury trial. And in some ways is better because the jurors actually get to question who is on the stand as well. I cannot speak for the Garner case as I do not know what trial occurred there. I do not know of what coverup you are speaking of , unless it was because there was not a public trial? As far as Im concerned all lives matter. The real question is why certain people dont think they need to follow laws or comply with a lawful order.

This is absolutely, 100% false.
Thank you for this. I was reasonably sure that was the case, but I don't even have a L&O degree.
The sad thing is, she's going to go back to wherever she crawled out from and absolutely believe that she didn't spout any racism today.
You know, I don't know why you didn't mod the shit out of her posts. You're supposed to keeping us all on groupthink here. Remember, you rule here with an iron delete button.

Thank you. I wanted to posted that, too, but felt like I had to do a whole explanation. Which, of course, you have proven is unnecessary.
