I just posted this on my FB. This morning my 3-year-old asked me to come over and see this. "Look, mom I'm drawing you!" Why this is even an option on the doodle app is beyond me.
H just told me the other night that sometimes, during bath time, L looks beyond him and smiles, and he turns around thinking I'm there, but I'm not. I'm not sure I want to know what she'll say when she starts talking! lol.
I've told this story here before, but my nephew used to see someone in my Aunt's house when she babysat him. One day he came into the kitchen and was like "Aunt B, he's behind you" in a sing-song voice, and she said "Who?" and he said "The man". So. A couple of weeks after that, he told her "the man" was in the living room and was sad, and she said "Who is the man and why is he sad?" and he said "Your father. He's sad because of the fighting." There was a pretty hefty family feud going on at the time. Kids are so creepy.

DS#2 said out of the blue last year "I chose you." to me last year. When I said "chose me for what?", he replied "To be my mama. I looked at all the mama's in the world and I chose you.". I may have cried a little.
He also said he "chose" DD to be his sister, but that he chose the wrong when it came to DS#1.

My 5 year old niece was babbling a delightful story about Elsa and Anna that ended with her looking me in the eye and saying, "...and then you kill yourself."
You all know that my kid is the creepiest. I've been keeping the recent shit to myself because I'm not sure how to even word it. It involves every person having a color assigned to them (she's always done this) but now the colors are coming off of people and there are some implications there.

This happened a few days before Christmas:
I'm putting one of the twins to bed (4 years old), we're singing Christmas carols together, I'm rubbing her back, we're sharing a nice little moment. Then I realize she's mumbling something, so I stop singing to listen to what she's saying. "...and then I'll chop off the hand and let all the blood drain out, and then I'll scoop all the other gunk out so I can put it on like a glove!" (This is said brightly! With excitement!)
Me: Um, what?
Her: It's how I would turn a dead person into a costume I could put on for dress up!

I don't think the colors are creepy. I can see colors radiating off people sometimes and it does match up with their moods.

My kid can't talk yet (4.5 months), but she always look to this one point in the dining room and smile. When I'm holding her anywhere in the area, she'll crane her neck to look at this one spot. Doesn't matter time of day and whether lights are on or not. It freaks me out.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter started talking about an imaginary sister. I finally asked her the sister's name and she said Leo...her dead great-grandfather's name. Eeek! I let that one go bc he passed in the summer and maybe she remembered him (only saw him 3-4 times though).
At Christmas, we bought her a baby doll and she named it Ellen...her dead great-grandmother's name. She passed when my daughter was 7 months old. No way she remembers her and we never talk about her.
I'm currently living in denial that my house is some sort of gateway for the spirits of deceased ancestors haha
I had Viv in the kitchen a while back and I was showing her the pictures on the fridge. One of the photos was of my Poppop who passed last April, so I start telling her about him and how much he would have loved her and how he's watching over us, and right then she looks up at the ceiling like something caught her eye and gets the biggest smile she had ever had up to that point. She was only a few months old, so it could have been anything, but I just feel like he could see him. He LOVED babies and all the kids were just drawn to him, so if he was able I know he's be hanging around here making silly faces at her. It makes me feel better.

Right now, it's that the colors are coming off onto her and it's bothering her. Like, today H left for a trip and she was agitated that he was yellow and he hugged us and now we are too. ....?
David woke up in the middle of the night two nights in a row coughing and crying and saying he has to cough out the bees.
Um, okay, sweetie. I just don't know what to say to that, lol.
Kids are so weird.
DS2 thinks that when someone has a 'bug', they literally have bugs in them. So, when his stomach hurts, he talks about bumble bees in there. He's got a cough now and said that he has a bumble bee in his throat. Perfect sense, right? 3 year olds are particularly weird
