I'm working from home again even though I totally could have made it into the office. But, my boss and other team members all called to WFH, so why not me too?
It's not as much fun as yesterday since I actually have a lot to get done, but that doesn't mean I still didn't put some Bailey's in my morning coffee.

Also, I have seen some memes go around with babies born 9 months after the storm. Image 1 shows the blizzard, image 2 shows babies in the hospital nursery. I refrained from having sex yesterday because I did NOT want to take that chance.

Working from home today, which is nice. And my car is going into the shop. (Which I know doesn't sound good, but it is. Hopefully it will end with a new motor, on Subaru's dime, because it leaks oil, and this is the first step to getting it replaced.)

I'm off to a unit meeting, then have an individual meeting with my boss right after. Its at the office across town, so it means I get to get away from my desk for a while and I never mind that.
After work a co worker I'm friends with and I are going to walk around Old Town, and go to the tea house. She's really fun, and I'm looking forward to hanging out outside of work.
I went to Ulta and spent a small fortune. But I did get some great new products and they make me look flawless!
I'm interested to hear what you purchased, as I'm going to Ulta before Friday and was looking for ideas.
I got a GC from sister for my birthday to spend, plus I have a "free" birthday gift coupon that they emailed me (I think it's a little eye shadow palette), and I happen to have a 20% off coupon that expires after Friday.
I don't want to go crazy when I get there, so I'm trying to formulate a plan for specific purchases so I don't get so distracted!

Random/what's good: I seriously thought my 1:00 webinar was 3 hours long....it was only 30 minutes. I have no idea where I got the idea that it lasted til 4:00. So the good: I have time this afternoon to breath and start to work on my next major project.

I know you asked her, but I was at Sephora yesterday and have gotten a lot of great products recently so I might be able to help if you're looking for something in particular?
Though @ello still want to know what you picked up! Anything you are loving right now?

Hmmmmm, the products that I go through the quickest and use every day are mascara and under-eye concealer... if you have any suggestions there.
Normally I buy the Voluminous mascara (because it's cheap and does the job) but I'm willing to venture to a better brand if it's worth it.
I'm thinking maybe a lip tint or color that lasts a while, and I'm starting to think maybe I need brow filler (but only because my sister is always filling hers in and my eyebrows are super light and patchy). However my mom seems to think that sister looks like Groucho Marx when she fills her eyebrows, so I'm torn if I really need to start doing that or if I will just look silly. LOL!
I seem to have an abundance of nail polish colors and a big set of brushes & eye shadow colors, and I just recently bought some BB cream, so I'm plenty stocked on those items.

OrangePixyStix - I've heard good things about the Lorac that ello suggested, and I use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under eye concealer. A little goes a long way and you have to blend fast but it takes the bit blue vein and the bags away from around my eye area. I just purchased a brow filler from Sephora, but I normally use Urban Decay Brow Box. I get honeypot and it's got two shadows that are light enough you don't feel like you have caterpillars, but dark enough to give them help. It also has a small brush, set of tweezers and wax to set them. Mascara: I LOVE Urban Decay Perversion, it makes my lashes so long and full! Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes is a nice, light one for every day. Also good is Too Faced Better Than Sex for less length and more volume.

I'm curious about this wax.... is that what I need to be using to keep my brows in place? It doesn't leave glossy appearance, does it?

sapphire bou - it does help keep them in place. The actual hairs in my brow are long and get kind of unruly sometimes. Applying this helps a ton. The wax isn't heavy so I don't feel like it left a noticeable shine, and you can apply the powder on top of it loosely to mattify it a bit if you feel there IS a glossy look.

Also the other boards makeup threads are scary and huge and I can't keep up. So this is terribly fun, getting to actually participate in makeup related questions! Lol.

Ouch, ello!
I'm horrible at keeping it up regularly but I go get them threaded rather than waxed when I get the chance. And I try to pluck strays in between visits, but I'm not always diligent about it. I have heard great things about the eyebrow bar, though, so maybe I check that out when I get there and report back.

I do my own eyebrows because they have decent shape and I just need to pluck strays... I realize I'm lucky.
I would yelp for specific locations, but in general I've heard good things about all of the Ulta services. Definitely worth checking out since your past incidents sound awful!

Eyebrow related question: Do you do your own eyebrows or have someone do them for you?
I am so terrible at my own eyebrows and every time I go to a salon and get them done, they burn me and I scab over horribly. Has anyone ever used the Benefit eyebrow bar at Ulta before?
Get them threaded. No burning, gorgeous eyebrows, easy peasy!
I go once a month or so and tweeze in between. Sometimes longer so long as I keep my brows on the thicker side.
Alright, everyone has convinced me that I should try threading. My eyebrows are very light so I can go longer without plucking and threading will probably last me sometime.
If you have any Indian friends ask where they go. They'll know the best place.
