They have a new motorized ped egg. Basically a sander for your feet. I got it for DH for Christmas and busted it out to use myself last night. It is AWESOME!

Where did you it? I have a regular per egg but it takes roughly an hour for my hobbit feet.

I started to actually put some effort into foot-care last year and it has really paid off. I keep a regular ol' cheapie pumice stone in the shower and I make a point to scrub my feet with it for 20-30 seconds each every time I shower. Since I use oil cleansing for my face, I also put some oil on the stone as I rub. Then I do a thick lotion + socks at night.
It's not a lot of effort or time, but just going those little things consistently, every single day, has made a huge difference over time. I used to have such thick calluses that it felt like lotion did practically no good, and cracks, too.

It was either Walgreens (90% sure) or Bed Bath & Beyond. I haven't seen the replacement pads yet but hopefully they come out with them soon. I ran out of cartridges for the regular ped egg and DH still hadn't opened it. I paid like $20 for it.

Soak your feet for 15 to 20 minutes in warm water with a little honey added to it. It softens the skin up and then get a pumice stone and gently scrub away.

(((RS))) Be good to yourself. If you can get over the mental hurdle then just GO IN and get a pedicure because they CAN help you. Ask a friend for a good person at a salon and just GO.
However, if you'd just really rather not (and I get that, I do), I bought a microplane pedicure rasp (ha! quite a title) from amazon a few months ago. It looks like a bigger version than the microplaner I use for lemon zest in my kitchen!
Here is a link to the one I got, and here is a photo of it (enlarged photo, and it has a nice handle). Also, don't go hog wild the first go-round. I read some of the comments and people went TOO deep with it sometimes so just get the dead stuff.
There's a Gold Bond soft feet lotion that worked really well for both me and my H but my Target doesn't have it now. I've seen it on Drugstore.com though. It has urea in it. It is very thick and kind of greasy feeling but put it on and then put on socks and let it do its magic.

I normally LOVE pedicures, but the hooves are so, so bad. I will def start going after I get a handle on this.
I'm glad to hear you will go treat yourself when you are ready. I totally understand that. The tool I linked to works on dry feet and it works well. It might surprise you. And maybe before bed that night just put some lotion/Vaseline/coconut oil --- whatever your greasy preference --- and socks and you might feel like a new woman foot-wise in the morning!
I think a lot of the crazy dry feet that are being described here might be Athlete's Foot. TMI: I have Athlete's Foot, but its just on one foot (weird.) It just looks like dry skin, like this podiatristdodgecity.com/athletes-foot-67801.html my other foot is normal and soft. It's been like this for 10+ years but I hate it so much that I asked my Dr for a Rx, hoping it clears up soon.
OK this is going to sound weird but I swear it works. Soak a bread slice in apple cider vinegar for about 5 hours until it forms a paste. Before going to bed put the paste on the callus and secure with a bandage. Wrap in saran wrap and leave it on overnight.

Aquaphor and socks at night. Pumice stone in the shower and lotion in the morning. That will make a HUGE difference. I prefer that method to regular pedis.
