If you have a very heavy flow, what brand of tampons do you use? I used to be pretty "average" flow (I think)...until the last year or so. I feel like it is literally a miracle I can still function with the amount of blood loss. I mean WTF. It is absurd. And now I struggle to find a tampon that I like. The old brand I used does show on the box that a super++ (or whatever) option exists, but I've never seen it. Most recently I have been satisfied by Tampax Pearl (Ultra), and I do like it....I just can't help but wonder if there is a better option yet? I'm all about doing some more experimenting, so give me your suggestions.
Except no Diva Cups or similar. I think its great and no offense to anyone who loves them, but I'm just not there.

Well. Looks like Kotex is the shizznit by ML standards. I will pick some up next time I need to stock up on supplies.... And yeah, I always have to have a backup pad/liner too. Fucking periods.

I'm in pre-menopause hell, the Kotex super and a over night pad still leak sometimes. I''m having hot flashes and flooding, you younger ones don't know what you have to look forward to, lol.
I use Playtex, need a plastic applicator- but I have big clots and some slide through. Are there tampons that are better for this? I have a heavy flow with the clots.

I am with you sister! Uhg. Hopefully it ends soon.
I can usually get by with Tampax Pearl super but somtimes I require super plus or ultra. I wish you could make your own tampon box like you can make your own 6 pack. I need 10-15 super or higher and about 10 light. I rarely wear the regular kind.
I buy one box of superplus and one box of half super, half regular . I need all three throughout my period. You can get boxes with two kinds is my point lol.
There are also Ultras. A step above Super Plus. They are hard to find. I think they were outlawed for a while because of TSS but are back on the shelves. Kotex makes them as does OB.

I find all tampons with a plastic applicator contain tampons that ddont expand enough! This is why I like cardboard apps. I don't seem to have that issue with those.
I concur with booby. The plastic applicators are easier but they don't expand like the cardboard applicator ones.
I buy Tampax or the generic Tampax cardboard applicator. I used to get the variety pack but now that I'm getting old I seem to only need super :-(.
I also have to have a plastic applicator and I use Playtex Sport. I have a box of Super +, a box of Super, and a box of Regular in my cabinet at all times. I also have Kotex liners that I really like as a back up.
