Peer models! That is the term I have been searching for, haha. Thank you . I think it's really frustrating that no peer models enrolled bc I bet integrated would be perfect for her. I'm pretty sure at the school we want V to go to that the incentive is lower tuition for the kids not needing therapy.
I'm sorry, kandrze, that's so frustrating.
How do peer model parents find out about these schools? I hope this isn't an insensitive question! I'm just curious because I'm looking at schools for G.
Our preschools that are run in elementary schools are all integrated. You might look there!
Unfortunately without an IEP, or meeting income requirements, we don't get a discount at ours so they're pretty expensive. I wanted to get her to an integrated classroom but it didn't work out due to money.
I had to put a size 6 diaper on Amelia at the mall today bc her diapers must have fallen out of the bag. She looked so ridiculous but had to be changed
Lol -- I was going to say, that's the size Blake currently wears, and then I re read and realized it was Amelia that was wearing it! Hey, you make due with what you've got! . Im sure she appreciated getting changed.
Loco Coco I'm honestly not sure. It all confuses me. In my area it's not the norm for public schools to have preschool programs, so I'm guessing there's more of a demand for preschool programs for the kids considered peer models? The public school I work for does have a preschool program and I'm good friends with the teacher so I think I'm really going to pick her brain a bit tomorrow if I can.
I haven't ever watched an episode of parenthood, but everyone says it's amazing. I may have to look into this...
But GREYS is on tonight!!
kandrze1 - I'm sorry you are having such a hard time! We had a difficult time deciding on which preschool to send B too as well. It sounds like they're giving you the run around which is so frustrating. Keep working on it and advocating for her. You guys have been through so much lately!!! Hugs!

Dorothy Zbornak, I'm so sorry about Butters, that's so scary, and I hate that it happened again, especially when you thought you were in the clear. It's beer time.
kandrze1, I am so sorry this preschool situation has becomes so complicated. That sounds so stressful and so frustrating, and I wish we could step in as a massive group of aunties to rally and get her what she needs. I hope that the teacher friend of yours can help with some guidance. This shouldn't have to be so hard on you.
